I clenched my fists as I stood at the edge of the forest. My path was blocked by a waterfall. Elista was gathering water to drink while I raged. Raged over the fact that my kids were missing. "I can’t believe they’re gone," I hissed through clenched teeth, the roar of the waterfall doing little to drown out my frustration. Elista glanced at me, her eyes filled with concern. "Alyssa, we will find them," she said calmly. "But you need to keep your wits about you. Losing control won't bring them back."
