“Am I that scary?’ Asked Adrian internally.

“Ok then, I am set to go, sir” said Adrian could not wait to leave this place.

“So quick?” Asked king Ronald back.

“Yes, I have something to do urgently” said Adrian with a blank face.

“Oh, you can go. Your company matters the most” said king Ronald giving a wide small.

Suddenly remembering something, Adrian stretched his hand out and a golden invitation could be seen.

“This is an invitation to our annual ball, I hope his majesty and his family will be able to make it.” Said Adrian

“Yes yes yes. We will” said king Ronald chuckling. A big grin could be seen on his face. Been presented an invitation by Adrian himself is an honour to anyone.

“Ok then. Good bye sir” he turned but not before he stared at Arya, but her head were still down. Feeling frustrated. He walked off.

“He is gone, thank goodness” said Arya breathing a sigh of relief. Then she turned her head side ways and saw her mothers beautiful face or rather annoying face to be precise.

“Mom, why are you staring at me?” Asked Arya .

“And why were you staring at the floor so hard as if there was something interesting about it? Uhnnn” asked her mother with a sweet time sarcastically.

“Yeah, I was actually fascinated by the tiles designs, do you know….”

“ I know you should just shut up right now, what kind of excuse is that.” Touching her daughter’s face” you were meant to be staring at him and not looking at the tiles liked you claimed you were. You were meant to bewitch him with your pretty face,baby” said her mother patting her face.

“Okay, darling?”

“Yes mother” Arya said with a smile but she was extremely frustrated.

Then she moved away from there, after all the party has ended. But not before staring at her three brothers

“Do they not really care about her” thought Arya sadly

Then Bella and Anne followed her hurriedly.

Back in Adrian’s home, he lay quietly on his chair listening to the reports said by the man in black.

“The cooperation with the ACES corp. has been put on hold sir but…….” The man in black stopped.

Adrian opened his eyes slowly and looked in the direction of the man in black

“But what Diego?” Asked Adrian to the man in black named Diego.

“Sir, the first prince is also after the cooperation, so are we not giving him a free meal by doing this, your highness?.” Said Diego cautiously.

Suddenly a message popped up on his phone. He turned on his phone, then smiled knowingly. Then, he turned back to Diego and said “ the fish has taken the bait”

Shivers ran down Diego’s spine. Any woman could have fallen for that smile. But he knew very well that when his highness smiles like that. Someone’s life is about to be ruined.

At this moment, the aura around Adrian could be described as cute. In his homey cloth and smiling at Diego like a man who just fell in love.

“Uhmmm, your highness can you stop smiling like that,please?” Begged Diego looking scared behind the mask.

It was as if a cold water was poured over him, reality washed upon him and his face returned back to normal. A sense of relief washed over Diego.

Back to his normal demeanor, Adrian asked”have they sign it?” With is eyes closed.

The man in black shivered, “No, your highness thy haven’t.

“Then make them sign it “ he emphasized the last four words making sure Diego understood that is life depends on it.

“Your are dismissed” said Adrian waving his hand slightly in the air.

Diego bowed then came out of the study room.

Immediately Diego left, Adrian’s eye could be seen lost in thought.

“What is the little kitten doing now?” asked Adrian to no one in particular. Glaring at the darkness like it offended him. Adrian slipped back into his lonely life which he was used to.
