Nothing Will Stop Me Pt. 3

She trailed my body with kisses and little love nips as she cleaned me. She tisked, “Someone bathed in mud.” I agreed, “Yes, I was following behind you killing to make my way to you, Stella Mea. Nothing was going to keep me from you. If we had a bond, I’d have been there faster.” She chuckled, “I’m surprised you kept my brother in this realm.” I shrugged, “I didn't really do anything. I just left without caring if anyone was coming behind me.”

She busted up laughing. I told her, “I’m serious.” She teased, “Cue the rounds of Bjourn never pauses when Astrid is involved conversations that will happen again.” I shrugged, “So? It’s true. You were in trouble and when I heard where you were, I knew it involved Brandi. I was gone after that. There was nothing and no one that could’ve stopped me even a direct order from my dad.” She gasped, “Bjourn.” I turned off the shower and led her to our bed.

I laid her down and lazily kissed her rubbing my d**k along her soaking wet slit. I groaned, “Astrid, you’re always so wet for me.” She moaned, “Yes.” I slowly slid into her, locking my eyes on her. I declared, “Nothing and no one will ever get in my way to get to you. I don’t care if I have to defy Aesir himself, I will always have your six.” Tears filled her eyes and I kissed them as they fell.

I whispered, “Stella Mea.” She cried, “I love you so much, Bjourn. It overwhelms and consumes me all the time. Then you say such sweet things and I…” I cut her off with a gentle kiss and loved her the way she deserved, like my Queen. She shuttered and moaned my name when she reached her climax and I groaned when I reached mine and hovered myself over her letting our bodies gently touch.

Her eyes fluttered shut and I slid out her and grabbed a wash rag to clean her up then myself. I threw it into the sink and went back into bed and pulled her against me. I should be getting answers, but I wasn’t going to leave. It was more important to have her in my arms. I would get my answers tomorrow. That would come soon enough. I was drained anyway. Opening all those portals really took it out of me. I was running on pure adrenaline knowing I needed to get answers and get to Astrid. It hit me out of nowhere how exhausted I was. I couldn’t open my eyes even though I felt the concern spiking from my parents. Damn. I pulled them out of their lust. Hopefully, my brothers didn’t get hit with this that hard.

I woke up hearing a lot of movement and chatter around me. I asked, “What the hell is going on?” Astrid cried, “Bjourn!” I held her on my chest and felt her tears. I saw my parents in the corner and asked, “What the…?” I held Astrid tightly to me, stalling my words wondering why she was crying.

My mentor, and renowned doctor in the realm, Dr. Hrafn Icelander, told me, “You’ve been resting for a few days.” I frowned, questioning, “Days?” He nodded, “Yes, you opened a portal in an area that restricted our magic from working. You opened several from your sheer determination and stubbornness.” I retorted, “And I’d do it all again.” He shook his head, “Somehow I knew you’d say that.” I winked at Hrafn teasing, “Because you know me well, friend.” He shook his head and rolled his eyes.

I held Astrid and whispered, “I’m fine.” She pulled me back and punched me in the shoulder. She demanded, “What were you thinking?” I raised an eyebrow, “That I needed to get to you and there were a lot of people in my way. I wasn’t pausing to get answers or do clean up, I opened portals to get them back to those who could get those answers so I could find you. Like I said, I’d do it again. I’m fine.” She glared at me and I simply smirked.

I got up and stretched. My muscles protested the move. Hrafn huffed, “Your muscles will be a bit stiff until you get moving around. As I told everyone multiple times, you are fine.” He shot Astrid a look. She retorted, “People who are fine do not remain unconscious for several days.” Hrafn laughed, “As I told you then, he just needed rest. Even for being the Crown Prince the ability to do what he did took incredible strength.”

He left and I grabbed some shorts. I asked my dad, “What do we know?” My mom told Astrid, “What did I tell you? He’s going right back to work.” She hugged me, “You do not know any other speed than fast, my son.” I grinned, “That’s true.” Astrid shot me an annoyed look.

My dad said, “Come to my office after you go see your brothers and I’ll explain. They were worried. We all were.” He gave me a hug and portaled to his office. I took Astrid’s hand and she yanked it back. She said, “You should’ve said something before I practically forced you to start an orgy.” I laughed, “Forced me? Stella Mea, I forced myself not to attack you in the hospital. If Brandi hadn’t been in that cave with Calista I would’ve attacked you there. You did not force me into starting an orgy. We were having s*x come hell or highwater, I just thought it would be in the shower. Also, I did not realize how tired I was until after you fell asleep.”

She warned, “When we have a bond, I’ll know and I’ll take better care of you then you do yourself.” I teased, “Promises, promises.” She narrowed her gaze, “I’m serious. I didn’t like this at all.” I shrugged, “I would imagine you didn’t. I had no intention to worry everyone as I can feel my family is.” She scoffed, “Even Harper was grumpy.” I feigned ignorance, “I can’t be held accountable for the fact that my baby brother wanted to see Gunner and his Cali.” She admitted, “They have been together a lot.” I threw my head back and laughed. My brother was just like me.

I led Astrid through the halls until I found everyone in the family room. I called, “It’s WAY too quiet in here.” Ubbe ran to me and I bent over to pick him up and squeezed him tight. Benjamin and Harper toddled over next. Evin tried to play it cool, “I’m glad to see you, they were worried. Big bunch of babies.” Drake scoffed. I ruffled Evin’s hair, “I’m sure you kept them in line.” He looked away shrugging.

Marcus asked, “Are you alright, brother?” I nodded, “I’m fine.” Histeck said, “They said that you showed more strength than you should’ve been able to. I kicked them in the shins.” Ubbe yelled, “ME TOO!” Benjamin, who had a very strong resemblance to our cousin Benny and was obviously his name sake, pointed proudly at his chest, “Me too!” I thought for sure when dad announced his name to us he was going to tell us about Cousin Benny, but he didn’t. Harper muttered, “Rew sand.” I laughed, “You threw more sand?” He shrugged unapologetically.

Drake said, “I broke up the fight Evin was in with our little brothers yelling that you were the strongest and no one should doubt you.” I looked at Marcus. He answered my unspoken question, “I was getting answers I knew you’d want. I left Drake to deal with the intense anger our brothers felt. Which is hilarious to watch on the tape I have. I’m just saying.” I nodded and replied, “Thank you, brother.”

I knelt down and told my brothers, “No one doubted my strength, it surprised them. As they will be surprised by all of yours one day. I had to get to Astrid, Brandi, and Cali home. Nothing was going to stop me, especially not magic.” They all nodded. I spent several minutes with them before I took Astrid to my dad’s office with Drake and Marcus.

I entered and he nodded to us. I sat down and pulled Astrid into my lap. My dad said, “You stumbled onto a group of people working for The Ring.” I asked, “The what?” He answered, “It’s their name. They are a black market group that deals in the evilest dark magic. They stick to the shadows and come up with new methods to use against us.”

I asked, “Like opening a portal?” He nodded, “Yes, that’s new.” I asked, “How did they do it?” He sighed, “Fortunately, they weren’t working with Fairy.” I asked, “Why is that fortunate?” My dad rubbed his face, “I think they are trying to emulate the one place we do not have the magic to enter.” I locked my jaw. I asked, “Why?” He answered, “Because we have been fighting against them for decades. We are what stands between them taking over everywhere and they don’t like us. They wanted to have one of us for the money, but also to strike at us to the very core. Knowing what they do to people and that a baby was in their clutches. The ring would pay heavily for one of us.”

I asked, “What do they do?” He scoffed, “What don’t they do? Everything shady you can think of they do. They keep coming up with magic to block things, and I can only surmise they are doing this by experimenting on people, partials in particular.” I gripped Astrid to me. I said, “We have to stop them.” My dad nodded, “We shut them down, but we can’t find the head. We’ve raided more and more, but they keep going darker. We won’t stop, we are the protectors of the realms. We won’t be losing our people to this. I’ll be sending out an order that our pregnant women are not to go to any realm alone. I’m debating making it a complete ban in the last trimester.” I nodded, “I think that’s reasonable.” Our women were only pregnant for five months. It wasn’t that long, and their safety and the child’s were paramount.

We talked over details and I got to read more into the Ring. Those involved would die. We would protect the realms and our people. From what I was reading this was going to be a fight we were in for the long haul. I asked my dad, “Why haven’t I been read into this before now?” My dad answered, “There are only a few things I can do to give you boys a childhood, this was one. Now, you need to know.” I nodded, sending him my acceptance and acknowledgement. I walked out with my woman and my brothers. We needed to blow off some steam and have fun and I knew just where to go.

Did anyone catch the nickname and Cali's name connection? Briar seems fun ;) Kashe and Dawson mates? Or fun times? Is anyone surprised by the depths Bjourn goes to for Astrid? Those silly people in the realm thinking he couldn't yank open a portal to get to her faster. Cousin Benny wasn't seen by Bjourn, but was he around? Did Astrid see him?
