2454 Words
Grieving over the following events, something truly unexpected happened. A large, daunting white colored airplane slowly fell towards the ground, obstructing any form of light from reaching the bottom. Everyone’s attention was immediately attracted towards this crazy sight, causing them to instantly resume panic and riot mode, trying their possible best to exit the crash zone. Unfortunately, the crash zone was already predestined, as the plane was about to land, directly on top of the gasoline truck. “No… No… No… No… We’re all gonna die!” The Panicking crowd blurted out, earnestly trying their best to flee the scene. “s**t!” Finn couldn’t help but curse, involuntarily jerking backwards, crashing into the car seat, as the vehicle promptly began reversing. Staring incredulously at the scene that played right before their eyes, Bridgette tightly clenched the edge of her seat, while she heavily panted for breathe, as fear clawed up her throat, making her unable to breath. Charles on the other hand, rapidly reversed, frantically trying to drive away from the blast zone. However is efforts were in vain, as the Plane immediately crashed on the gasoline tank, resulting into a devastating explosion. ! Boom! Boom! The sound of the explosion resonated and echoed across several areas which were beyond it’s range, shaking them heavily. Wild, scorching flames flared haywire, burning everything in it’s path. The explosion was actually a micro-hell, yet to those caught within, it was the entire universe, swallowing and destroying the entire city, leaving it ruins and devastation. As the Baker’s vehicle rapidly reversed away from the blast zone, the intense force and ferocious power of the explosion wickedly blasted them further away, sending the vehicle tumbling multiple times, before it crashed into a devastated construction site. Immediately the car was blasted backwards, Finn who presently wasn’t wearing a seat belt, was sent crashing into the seats, forcefully smacking his against rear window, shattering it to shards and splattering blood all over it, while the lad instantly passed out, falling straight to the vehicles floor. Charles and Bridgette tightly held the edge of their seats, pleading earnestly for their lives. Unable to do anything, they sat still, enjoying the rather exhilarating, yet dangerous and bumpy ride to death. After the explosion died off, one could clearly see the devastation that overwhelmed the entire City. This colossal-scale disaster wasn’t just something that was isolated to New York City, as multiple similar level disasters, ranging from monster sized tsunamis, hurricanes, tornadoes, flood, earth quakes and so on, swept the entire world, leaving it in ruins. Landscapes and terrains torn apart like toys, immeasurable death’s spanning across the several continents of the world, billions of property rendered useless. The bright and colorful day was soom tainted by ash and blood, as melancholy and pain became the new order of the day. This was definitely the Last Days of Planet Earth. Few Hours later, Ninety-five percent of the world was engulfed in darkness, while the remaining five percent experience a slight sense of daytime which was tainted by ash and smoke. They was also a notable mix of temperatures, as major parts surface were freezing cold while some specific parts on the Earth were rather warm, while others were scorching hot. The usual regulation of temperature went haywire and ineffective, as these temperatures rapidly switched from cold to hot and vice versa, with no logical reason. In New York City, judging by the cold, dark and dreary Night, one could tell that the city was part of the ninety-five percent engulfed in darkness. Flames, smoke and ash could be clearly seen sullying the dark and dreary night. For some reason, the moonlight that shone onto the earth was extremely faint, making one vision in the night to be really difficult. Judging by the scale of devastation and destruction, it was really to easy to deduce that a large scale disaster rampaged through the city. Apparently, it wasn’t only the City but the entire world had been severely destroyed beyond repair. In destroyed construction site, the heavily damaged Baker’s family vehicle could be seen, crashed into an uncompleted building, reducing it to rubbles. Somehow, the black vehicle partially survived the explosion, however, the car was pretty banged up, as most of its parts were smashed to bits and chunks Currently the Black Rolls Royce was missing it’s entire windshield which was completely broken to shards, most of it’s tires which flew forcefully pulled apart during the explosion and crash, it’s side mirrors and windows. It’s hood, headlights and roof were severely crushed under the rubbles of the building which collapsed on top it. The Back side of the car completely caved in, locking shut both doors and destroying the passengers seat. Finn , could be seen, laying unconscious and unaware of his environment. In an instant, the lad woke up to his hellish reality, confusedly blurting out “Huh?”, As he discovered that the car itself had gravely collapsed, trapping him inside. “Damn!” He cursed inwardly, trying to push open the door in front of him. It soon dawned on him that die to the Vehicle’s collapsed state, he was in suspended lying position and was unable to use his arms for anything. “f**k this!” He couldn’t but curse outwardly, momentarily giving up on escape. ! Drip! Drip! Drip! His attention was drawn to the dripping sound which originated from above him. Trying to ascertain what was going on, he forcefully turned his head to his side, nearly snapping it in two, accidently killing himself. Using his partially exposed eye to stare upwards. Soon enough, his eyes were greeted by a large metal pipe, which had somehow drilled itself directly through the seat. He was further shocked, as soon he deduced what in the world was dripping from the pipe. The metal pipe was painted and also gradually released a crimson colored liquid, which fell towards the ground, am area close to Finn’s body. Slowly, the accumulated blood crept towards his body, soiling his dark gray hoodie, painting it crimson. Seeing this, the lad promptly panicked, immediately smacking his head against the edge of the collapsed and torn apart seats. “What the fuckin hell!” He exclaimed, trying to calm himself down. Earnestly feeling the urge to investigate the matter, tried his best to escape his current predicament. He tried to use his legs to kick open the other door, unfortunately for him, his legs were in condition to be used, as it was locked within the collapsed car parts, utterly frustrating the lad. Left with no other option, he forced out his right hand from it’s momentary cell, incurring multiple scraps and cuts.He turned his head towards the door in front of him, trying push open the door. This move was proven useless as it appeared locked. Immediately he changed his mind and course of action, trying his best to reach the door handle. Desperately stretching his hands towards the handle, he continued to incur various dashing cuts, causing his hand to gradually bleed. After relentlessly trying his best, he finally reached the door handle. Unfortunately for finn, immediately he pulled the handle, it unexpectedly broke, further annoying the desperate lad. “f**k!” He yelled, as he began to frustratingly punch the door. ! Bam! Bam! Bam! He continued to throw his right his fist at the door, incessantly yelling, “Open… Open you piece of s**t!”. Blood oozed right out of his fists, painting the door with it’s crimson color, as Finn punched it. After another round of furious and intense punching, the smashed up door finally opened, momentarily collapsing right out it’s hinges, thus, opening up a path for Finn. “Finally!” He remarked, crawling out of the car, falling directly on top of a pile of rubbles. Gradually getting back to his feet’s, he was greeted by a terrifying and heart-crushing sight. The entire city was completely destroyed and burnt to ash and rubbles, seemingly devoid of any form of life. The scale of destruction gravely matched with that of Hiroshima and nearly exceeded, as apart from airplane-gasoline truck explosion, they were several chain reaction of explosions that ran through the entire city, tearing it apart. “What the f**k is going on?’ He couldn’t help himself as he outwardly inquired, staring directly at the odd and bizarre night sky, which was devoid of any star. As he was slowly getting lost in his thoughts, something dire struck his mind, causing him to look left, ascertaining the cause of the blood flow earlier in the car. He was left shocked, scared, dazed and confused, staring directly into the car. He was greeted by a bloody and completely messed up scene, further throwing him into disarray, lost of any solid expression to make. Suddenly a bead of salty tear ran down his eyes, heading straight towards the ground. “Mom!” He sadly exclaimed, expressing his utter pain and loss, as multiple tear beads ran down his face. The source of blood was non other than Mrs. Bridgette Baker. During the brutal collision with the uncompleted building at the construction site, two large and sharp metal pipes fatally impaled through Bridgette’s abdomen and chest, killing her instantly, while spray painting her seat and the car with blood. “Damnit… Mom!” He gravely and tightly but his lip in anguish, rushing towards the door, literally prying it off it’s hinges, trying his best to rescue his already dead mom. Her body was pale, cold and lifeless. Her face drowned in blood and despair, as her head tilted to the side. Her eyes reflected the intense emotions she felt, when she suddenly and untimely died. Covering his gasped mouth his hand, Finn’s mind exploded with grief, as he trembled, while hunching his back in fear. “f**k…Fuck..Fuck… This cannot be happening… f**k!” Whimpering weakly, melancholy and confusion, intensely stung his chest, thoroughly increasing his pain exponentially. “Fff…. Fff…. Finn” A familiar voice suddenly erupted out of nowhere, obviously confusing the sobbing lad. Not long, he instantly recognized the voice, slowly moving his head upwards, trying to pinpoint where the voice came from. “Fff..inn, I’m.. I’m glade you’re o…kay” The familiar voice continued, struggling to speak. “Dad!” Finn worriedly yelled, as he incredulously stared at Charles’ current situation. Although he was still but barely alive, his current condition wasn’t palatable. Just like his wife, he had a large metal pipe, brutally impaling his abdomen. The left part of the car was buried under a huge rubble, crushing the car. Same could be said for the left half of Charles’ body. “Heh-heh, you… actually… called… me..Dad” Charles chortled weakly, obviously feeling his life slipping away. He was right, this was actually the first time in a year that Finn had called him Dad and obviously, this was a really nice moment for him. “Shut the hell up, I’m coming to save to you” Finn furiously yelled, staring left and right, trying his best to look for a way to save his ‘Father’. The young desperate lad, ran towards the left side of the car, fighting his way through the rubble. Finally arriving the banged up door, he vigorously pulled the door, placing everything he had into the action. ! Bam! Successfully, he pulled out the door, yanking it out of it’s hinges, freeing the path to Charles. Struggling to move his broken neck, Charles immediately began to cough up blood, as he stuttered, “ Fff… inn”. His entire body was pinned down and paralyzed by pain, as blood gradually dripped our of his face wounds and abdominal injuries. Obviously, one could tell that he had “Dad…. Don’t worry, I’m gonna get you out” Finn enthusiastically remarked, trying his best to fake a smile. He was earnestly trying to beat the reality of things, shifting his focus from Charles’ grave and fatal wounds. The only thing keeping the man alive, was his intense self-will, without that, he would have dead several hours ago. “Hhh… How” Charles curiously inquired, earnestly staring at Finn. “I… I.. I” Finn stuttered, completely loss of words. He immediately erupted into tears, tightly gripping his chest, as he felt the pain and fear thundering stabbing his heart. “Ddd… Don’t worry… About me.. I’m gonna be… Joining your mom… real soon” Charles stuttered, as blood dripped down his nose. Huh-Huh-Huh… He began to paint earnestly for breathe. Apparently, the metal pipe had slightly punctured his right lung, due to his incessant movement. As both of them had their last moments together, Finn soon noticed that the fire that engulfed a nearby building had significantly spread around and it was slowly approaching the car “s**t… Quit talking like this is your last day on Earth… I’m gonna save you” Finn said with sadness lingering in his words. He was still trying to deny reality. “Hey…. Finn, I want to…. Ask you.. some. Thing” Charles stuttered, feeling his final moments were close by. Hearing this, Finn quickly used his left sleeve to wipe his salty eyes, as he replied, “What?”. Meanwhile, the fire crept in closer and closer, revealing it’s intents to devour and burn everything in it’s path. “Did… Did you have… Have a fun time today?” He curiously inquired, with blood flowing out of his mouth. Following this question, was an awkward and grief-filled moment of silence. This lasted for a second, as Finn immediately answered, “Yes… Yes, I had fun”. Satiated by his answer, Charles struggled to nod his head, wearing a genial smile, “Thank… Goodness, I… had fun…too”. “Finn…. Take..care… I ..love you son… Make sure… you.. survive… Whatever life throws… at …you” Charles said, word for word, gathering the last ounce power he had, using it to push Finn away from him. This was the only means he had to protect Finn from the creeping flames, that engulfed the vehicle. Instantly, due to the remnants of fuel in the vehicle, the flames got far worse and wild, as it resulted into an explosion, completely burning Charles and Bridgette to a crisp. ! Boom! “Dad!” Finn exclaimed, as he watched the car explode, blasting him away. His eyes instantly darkened, his throat thickened, as he was completely washed up by melancholy and sadness. Beads of tears ran down his eyes, as he collapsed on the charred up asphalt, staring aimlessly into the cosmos, furiously yelling, “WHY!”
