I have always viewed myself as a rich man, a powerful one at that. I have fought hard to get where I am at today and NOBODY is going to change that! Not even the long legged, Tan skinned, long dark hair, and beau- wait what am I even saying. I'm Dean Venten for heaven sakes. I shouldn't be letting a woman distract me mate or not! I'm the most wealthiest man in this territory or all the territories to be exact. I have not lived with my Pack since I turned eighteen and found my wolf. Why don't I just live in the Pack house like a normal alpha son? As easy as it would be, I don't agree with my father's way of leading the pack. No I'm not a rouge wolf.

I technically still live inside the packs territory but mixed in with the human side of it. You see my father's pack is one of the largest here on the western side. We have a whole 3,000 miles to our packs territory. That's why we have humans living within or boarder's. In the city side of it of course, the more deep country wooded areas are where most to all our wolves stay. That way mainly that are close to the pack house in case of a rouge attack or meetings and events come up. Secondly most humans still don't know us werewolves exist. We would like to keep it that way for as long as possible. For the safety of our kind, very few humans know and they are those mated into the werewolf world.

My father is a older alpha and should have passed down the tittle to me eight years ago. It is werewolf tradition for a former alpha to pass the title to their next male heir. Which is the first born male offspring. He uses the same excuses everytime I do come around ( Just to see my mother and siblings). One- I either have to find my mate and stop being a man w***e. Two- He has to be killed in a attack, battle or murdered. Three- there is absolutely no way he can take care of the packs business and needs. So for that reason and others I moved to the city and started a multi billion dollar company. I wanted to prove a point to my father that I am capable of leading and being successful without him or a mate. So far I believe I am doing very well at that. The last few times the subject gets brought up my father mentions how successful I have been.

Maybe just maybe I am making headway with the old man finally. I have yet to inform my family about me meeting my mate. I don't want the fuss and I don't even know anything about her to tell them anything. All I know for myself is her name and she is definitely a wolf but a high ranking one at that. It is normal for members of neighboring small packs to come into our terrify for work in the city. That is one part of my business. I have contracts with the neighboring packs where they pay me a yearly rate to contract work out to their members. I mainly get omegas, deltas occasionally a few warriors here and there. Never have I ever had a werewolf with that strong of aura come to the city for work. She is definitely ranking above a warrior but what though? All I can say for sure is Ave Brown has definitely got my attention. Not just because she is my mate either.
