Mattia's POV.
I am stunned to see the girl on the balcony; did she just call her mom? I furrow my brow and swallow thickly when I notice the darkness of her eyes; they are like two black stars shining with a sudden intensity that makes my throat burn.
"Hello" I say, feeling my voice crack.
"Hello, I'm Aitana" she responds immediately.
Valeria remains motionless while the little girl descends, touching the railings of the stairs. She is wearing a sky-blue dress, and her black hair falls in waves down her back. I gulp when she's in front of me and, unable to resist, I crouch to her level; she smells of strawberries and baby cologne.
