CHAPTER 7 Lia hauled herself into the white tile box of a bathroom, for once glad of the glaring, colorless environment because it jarred her awake. As did the cold shower under which she stood for long minutes. Her breakfast of coffee and more coffee left her with a gurgling stomach and a bad case of the shakes as she drove her small rented car to the office. There, she found her sketches laid out across the desk. They only needed a few finishing touches for her proposal tomorrow. Thank goodness. She was too far gone with fatigue to attempt anything challenging. Working as quickly as her foggy brain would allow, she finished the sketches and set them aside.
