I avoided him all day. I stayed in the kitchen longer than I needed. Pretended to help clean. Sat through a painfully boring movie with my best friend, trying to look normal—even though every time I shifted, I felt him between my legs. The stretch. The ache. The heat he left inside me. Rafe hadn’t pulled out, and now I couldn’t stop feeling him. Like he owned my body from the inside out. I didn’t know what to say to him. Or if I was supposed to say anything at all.
