“Somethings wrong,” I gasped as my heart raced in my chest, and I felt tingles through my body. “Something happened!”
I jumped out of the recliner that I was sitting in. Julius and Nathan had returned from the council and confirmed that it was the transmute, and Cornelius was found dead in his home. They learned that the only good thing was that they could prove Cornelius had already been dead for two days before releasing them.
“What’s wrong?” Nathan asked.
“Something is wrong with Luke!” I shouted and ran for the door.
“Ophelia, wait!” Julius called after me.
