“Can I help you?” the young receptionist asked as I approached the desk. “Do you have an appointment?”
“No, I don’t but I’ve come to have a quick word with Dr. Cohen, ” I said kindly.
“Oh I’m sorry, Dr. Cohen isn’t available, ” she said. “He’s going away for a week but I can schedule you for the week after?”
“Oh no sweetheart, you misunderstand, ” I said. “If you could please let the doctor know that Jensen Law is here to speak to him, I am sure he will find some time in his schedule.”
“He’s asked to not be interrupted, ” she said firmly. “Now I can schedule for the week after next or you can have a good day.”
