I sat with Ryan in the center of the clearing. I didn’t want him to wake up and not know where he was because I didn’t want him to move. Dante went back to the unconscious Skyler and dragged her by her feet to the center as well. He dropped her like a sack of potatoes. I wondered what would happen to the girl once this was over. She got in way over her head, messing around with transmutes and wolves. She also assisted with kidnapping a primal fae witch’s twin flame, and if fairies are as protective with her mates as wolves are, Skyler is in for a whole world of pain.
“Can you check for more of these black bags?” I asked Dante. “If I know Nathan, there's probably at least three.”
“Sure,” Dante said and turned to run around the edge of the trees. “Hey! You’re right; I found one.”
