Charlotte’s POV After the first tear escaped, the ones that followed couldn’t be stopped no matter how hard I tried. I was never a crier, so I don’t know what it was about the stares I was getting from the other girls that made the tears fall down from my eyes. Maybe I was tired. Maybe I was feeling cornered. Maybe the shard of glass in my hand hurt me more than I thought. I don’t know what it was exactly, but all I knew was that I needed to get out of the room as fast as possible before the girls saw me cry more than I wanted them to. I wiped the tears from my eyes with my uninjured hand and pushed myself off of the ground, making sure not to put any pressure on my injured hand.
