Charlotte’s POV
I was almost sure that the wolfsbane had worn off.
I wasn’t feeling groggy anymore, and I could think clearly. My muscles were still a bit sore, but almost everything about my body had gone back to normal. Along with that was my biological clock, which made me realise that about a day had passed since I had been taken. It was definitely a day too long as I should have never been taken in the first place. I really needed to start looking for a way out.
“Are you back now?” I asked my wolf. I could feel her presence in my mind, but she hadn’t reached out to me yet. The connection was still not back at its full strength, but I was at least sure that I would be able to reach her as there was no longer a wall in the middle of it.
