Cynthia’s POV
Charlie and I walked towards the garden with our arms interlinked.
I really liked having Charlie next to me. Being around her was really easy, and it was also very calming. I didn’t have to be afraid that she was after Royce or that she had any ulterior motive. She was truly my first real friend.
“This is the garden you found me in last time, right?” Charlie asked.
“At least you remember that much,” I said jokingly to her. She hit my arm softly, which brought a laugh out of me.
“It seems like someone is already enjoying the sunset here,” Charlie said before pointing in front of us. She had a teasing tone in her voice, so I got curious and looked in the direction in which she was pointing.
