LUCIFER'S VISIT

Reflections

Lionel's POV

I alighted from the car, my eyes scanning the environment. I helped Maya with the stuffs as she led me to the house. The house was very different from the house in the Paran, it was beautiful just like Cesar's lair back in the world.

Every other houses were built with mud or clay. That's all we ever knew.

"This is your room." Maya said giving me a pat on the back before allowing check out my room. It was feeling manly. Black..I'm pretty sure Shawn had a hand in this..... probably.

My mind spiralled back to my past....at least that was about six months ago. I had to run..it was the only way to escape the evil wife my stepdad had married.

After my actual father left, my mother struggled... really hard to make ends meet. I couldn't even go to the Paran school because we had to focus on feeding alone. Life was hard for poor or average people...not normal people though back in the world.

My mother got contact with a rich man and he fell in love with her and they got engaged..then later, got married. I gotta say, their love was really peaceful until mom had a deadly disease, and she died. My heart was shattered, I couldn't just leave the man alone. We got along pretty well, life was good.

For about six months, we were living a beautiful life of father and son. Then, his secretary seduced him and he got hypnotized to marrying her.

Technically, she did and dad was a wolf........I mean my stepdad. He didn't smell it.. so..I had no choice but to live with them. But this woman made my life a living hell. One night, when she refused to give me food for three days straight, I ran away from home.

A knock interupted my thoughts, it prompted me to sit up and wait for the person to come in..

"Hello, son. Can I come in?" My new mother asked and I nodded standing up. She gave a chuckle and pulled me to the chair. "I'm sorry you have to be in trouble as well, we just......we just wanted a better life for Shawn and Maya and .....you as well. Life in our world was harsh." She explained giving me a hug.

"I didn't get to officially welcome you to the family and you are a Dashis now." She smiled and nodded.

"You'll be resuming school with Shawn and Maya on Monday, okay?" She says handing me a box of chocolate chips before she turns to leave.

'Thank you........Mom.' I whispered but she heard owing to the fact that she gave a warm smile. A smile I hadn't gotten in a year or probably even more. I felt.... welcome. No one was ever welcoming to me especially when I was roaming the street. None that I know of though.

My eyes scanned my own bedroom again before I collapsed on the bed, I had seen a lot of new things today and I had to take it all in, only to drift off to sleep.

Third Person's POV.

After dinner, the family sat in the living room looking for the locket. The echoes of Lucifer's voice ringing in their ears..almost like he was reminding them of the punishment they were risking to face.

"Okay, your mother and I have decided to travel to other states in this country to find the locket...at least we are not looking around this continent or the world. We depart tomorrow." Roshan announced to his children.

"And we, the children will stay home. The holder may be in this vicinity..we never can tell." Maya added, her eyes tired out of boredom. These plans were getting too expanded. She knew this must have been dangerous but she wants to live a normal life too.

They all made an arrangement hoping to work out for all of them.

Soon, they all headed to bed but Maya couldn't sleep..her mind on what she had faced with her boyfriend and best friend....such betrayals they were. She was definitely going to show them who's boss.

Flashback.

Maya was walking to the square to see her boyfriend, Raymond and her best friend, Belle.

She had wanted to surprise them, she needed that breath of fresh air.

"He should be in the market selling his fruits." Shawn said, a smirk on his face as if he had known something bad was about to happen.

They walked to the East side of the market square...a particular thought of her best friend and lover together but the moon goddess knows she tried to push that thought away but it came anyway. Her heart beating fast as she greeted the next door neighbor, Stella..she sold grains in East.

As soon as they walked into the shop, they saw Belle and Raymond having ice cream together..no surprise for Maya though but she knew Shawn was going to say something. He cleared his throat first, making the couple look up and immediately they parted seeing Maya standing...no sitting down now.

"I can't believe you both." She whispered trying hard to push her thought to use her magic right away but they had powers too.

Shawn spoke next, circling the two guilty looking people in front of her, "I can..I told you something was wrong somewhere. I told you to stay away from my sister..I warned you. You had the audacity to have an affair with your girl lover's best friend while she was gone. And Belle, my sister's friend. Maya would vouch for you anywhere but here you are being a disappointment."

This made Raymond chuckle in disbelief, " you left....I had no one else to talk to... We couldn't communicate for two weeks, I had started growing feelings for Belle for a week now and I can't control it anymore."

"Actually, I knew this would happen. It was always there... The eye contact, the way you looked at her....I didn't believe you would do this now....of all times.now... I have been gone for two weeks...I mean 14 days but you had feelings." Maya gave a nod, not a tear threatening to come out. Shawn has expected her to cry but she didn't, she maintained her composure.. totally.

"I hope you have a happy life....or maybe not." Maya said forcing a smile before leaving with Shawn.....

End of flashback........

Her mind was now focused on finding that locket..her family wouldn't have to go back to that disgusting world. A world filled with tension... a world that wasn't united........

There were wolves and they had been banned, no vampires...only witches and wolves and she was going to find out why............
