Maya's POV
I was pretty excited that I had another brother to frustrate but then... Dad had brought in a stranger. My eyes glowed as I saw a vision, like a huge storm, a new change. My visions always came as a mystery I'm never able to solve before it happens. This one will probably happen in a few months.
My mind drifts to Raymond and I decide to visit him tomorrow while going to buy lunch with my brothers, a smile creeps to my face at the thought.
I open the door to a room for Lionel. I walk in looking at the room with satisfaction.
"This is your bedroom, for now." I said leading him in with a smile.
"I'm...... Thank you, Maya." He greeted sitting on the bed.
"You do not have to be formal with me. If you need anything, Shawn is there.....I mean...he might be a little distant but trust me, you'll get along." I informed him before leaving him to his own space.
On my way to the bedroom, I meet with Shawn who gives a chuckle sitting in the balcony at the end of the hallway.
"Is he settled in?" He asked looking into the stars. Somehow, it seemed different from the one in the human world.
"Have you heard from your best friend or Raymond. PS, I still don't like him." He said making me laugh. He and Ray had always been in a bad place. He just tried to tolerate him for me.
"Yeah, I'll go see them tomorrow during the afternoon walk. Are you going with me, please." I pleaded holding his right hand. Some how, we still maintained a good relationship despite my pranks for him.
He just nods before leaving, "you just ruined the beautiful Stars tonight." He said walking down the hallway. I ran my hand through my hair thinking about the punishment Lucifer had for us.
My eyes shot open as I sat up on my bed. For the past few days, I've been having weird dreams about a faceless boy but still, something is pushing me to look for him. I need answers, why is he showing up in my dreams randomly? And the funniest part, he had no supernatural powers.
I stand up in the middle of the night with a sigh walking towards the stallion where my horse resided.
"Hey, Star. I hope Sam has been taking care of you. You have gained weight." I said rubbing her head, I missed you too girlie.
I need to take her for a ride before daybreak. To clear my mind at least. We should get ready for Lucifer's huge punishment . What if he decides to kill us?? Just what if?
The human world was treating me good, apparently.
Lionel's POV
As soon as the door shut, I fell to the bed. I hadn't had this comfort in a full moon. Everytime the thunder struck, I had to hide under a force field I couldn't manage to control. My mother had died a few years ago leaving me with my step father, who after got a new mistress sent me out of the house.
Honestly, I felt a bit at home here. Their welcoming attitude. I had always dreamt of seeing the outside world and here it was, a dream finally coming true.
I heard a knock on my door and I opened it. Shawn?? I thought he was being a little bit distant, apparently.
"Um...hi, Lionel, may I come in?" He asked, a bare smile on his face and I let him in allowing him close the door.
' I was thinking we could start planning what to do to Maya anytime she tries to bully anyone of us.' he began making us both laugh. We talked for a while before we both drifted to sleep in my bedroom.
Maybe this was not going to be bad after all.
My eyes opened at a damaged place, fire was burning everywhere, blood flowing like a river. Is this what I'll keep seeing??
And then, a man comes near me in black cloak looking at me like I was his prey.
"Why do you exist?" He asked, his voice deep, bringing shivers down my spine.
Then, the next thing I knew, he was about to kill me when my eyes jerked back to reality.
I looked around, realising I was in my new room, Shawn sleeping peacefully beside me. A smile crept on my face. I realized the sin was about coming up.
A knock interupted my thoughts, "boys?? Breakfast is ready!" I knew that voice now.
I tap Shawn by the shoulder and he had sped out of the room not before mumbling a good morning. I chuckled and went to freshen up. By the time I was out, Shawn had changed his clothes.
He gave a warm smile while handing me one of his clothes. "Thanks." I said returning the smile as I changed into it.
I finally found a place to fit into.
