finally making it home I gathered my things and headed inside . I was starving by now so I chose to eat and watch TV while I multitask on my personal phone checking my personal emails and then my text messages I saw Kiara texted me .

" I hope you are ready for the trip tomorrow . no last minute being late and s**t frfr lure I know how you get . just throw everything in as many suitcases as you need and bring your ass the f**k on . mkay love yoouuuu 😘 😘 "

I typed a quick response because she was right , I do need to be on time and I will end up wanting to bring everything , so I may as well just pack it all anyways and be done with it . after eating I had cleaned up and rolled up and smoked a blunt . I also drank a cup of wine . I had put half the blunt out when I felt the effects from smoking and finishing my cup of wine . I packed everything I needed and thought to need in 3 suitcases and a carry on bag as well as my purse . it is after 11 pm and I am showered , laying in bed and letting the TV watch me while I smoked the rest of my blunt and read a few chapters of this urban novel book " Royalty by Keisha Jones " I really into until I fell asleep .

I woke up to my alarm going off at 8 : 00 am , and the first thing I noticed when I opened my eyes was balloons are in every inch of my ceiling in my room all royal blue , white and gold balloons , confetti all over my bed and floor . I teared up thinking about how my girls must have come in while I was sleeping and it meant a lot to me and in the kitchen on the island was a mini marbled cake in the same color scheme and next to it was a beautiful gold vase with royal blue and white roses . it was all stunning . I sent a long appreciative thank you text to the group chat . I got ready to leave and I couldn't be more excited . I was walking out of my house by 9 :45 am and outside on my porch I almost tripped trying to step over whatever was on the floor . it was beautifully wrapped present , the wrapping was a glittery / shimmery royal blue with a glittery gold ribbon wrapped all around the present and it tied into a big beautiful bow that sat perfectly on top . as I was picking up the present I noticed a note that read

" open at the airport 💙 "

I really wanted to open the present but decided against it . it added more to the excitement . I tried to fit the small box shape gift in my carry on bag but it stuck out some , figuring it will have to do , I locked up my house and headed to my car . I was blasting music and jamming the whole way to panera bread , I got me something to eat and a frozen mocha and caramel mixed coffee . I was finally on my way to the airport and I texted the group chat to let everyone know . we were to all meet at check in and go from there . it was only 4 girls going , Kiara my best friend then Kiana , lluviana , and jurnee . we all been friends since highschool except Kiara we been friends since elementary school and we moved over time losing contact with each other at points of time as well but we always ended up going to the same school or in our sinor year of highschool we didn't go to the same school but we ended up working together at Jimmy John's and we even applied to the same college and got accepted and didn't know until we showed each other the acceptance letter and all of it was unplanned so we just chucked it up to it being fate . all 4 of us are pretty close though , we all work well together and just understand each other and none of the weird s**t other girls be on . which is why it is only us 4 going on this trip and not more people included .

I parked my car in the designated parking area , when I got to the airport and I am hauling all my luggage and trying to see if I saw anybody waiting around already because surely I could not be the first one of us to show up . I am better known as the late friend . I found a spot to sit down on a bench . I was half expecting everyone to be here already . I dug my phone out of my purse and realized I didn't have any messages , I unlocked my phone going to our group chat reading our texts to see if I missed something and nope no one has responded since I said thank you earlier . I sent another text .

" I am here bitches , where y'all at? is anyone here yet ? "

I did not get an instant reply so I closed my messages and decided to kill some time on social media . I hardly even noticed it has been 40 minutes and still no response from any of them , what the f**k are they doing ! I let out a big sigh .

" imma just start calling everyone 'cus what the f**k " I said under my breath .

I called all 4 of them and no one answered . I hope everyone is okay . It is not like them , at least one of them should be here already . I do not see why they would come decorate my house but not show up at the airport . it just honestly doesn't even make any sense , I'm growing more frustrated thinking about why are they all chose to be late on my birthday. if this is payback for all the times I have been late, the girls picked fine timing . I started looking around at all the crowds of people coming and going , to see if can spot anyone I know . growing impatient I shifted in my seat crossing my legs and kicking my bag over .

My present toppled out of my bag I bent over to pick it up and noticing the note again " open at the airport 💙 " . well I'm here at the airport and nobody has showed up yet nor responding so what's better timing than now to open my present . I take one last look around at all the people around me and I still don't see any of my friends so I untie the beautiful glittery golden bow , unwrapping it from around the blue glittery box .

The blue box had a lid so I take it off and out comes confetti and butterflies flying everywhere ! taking a peek inside after all that stuff came out , I see a little bucket with a lid . I retrieve it out of the box and examine it .
