She knew, from Sable's information, that he would come — that he'd identified her pattern, the Tuesday morning bookshop visit she'd resumed from childhood habit, the specific predictability of it. She knew he was coming and she had been not-telling anyone, had been carrying this specific knowledge for three days, turning it over in the privacy of her thinking. This was a decision she had made deliberately and examined carefully before making. The Pack would not allow her to go alone if they knew. The tactical logic was sound — proximity was his mechanism, multiple contacts would do the damage. One meeting, properly managed, would give her information without enabling the working.
