As they drove back to Luca’s place, Tess let out a relieved breath. She considered herself an animal lover, but that damn cat had hated her. The ball of fur had battled her all the way over to Alfie’s place. For some reason, it constantly wanted to jump on Luca’s lap.
Of course, the cat had no idea that Luca was a silver-tongued demon in disguise. The kind that would say anything to get a poor woman hand over her cat to him.
