***BLAKE***
“You f*****g sly bastard!” Dylan yelled into my face, and I froze at the sight of his wrath.
“If he’s a bastard, aren't we all?” Jeremy chipped in, twisting his head to the side, king gone in thoughts, typical of him.
“I mean, let’s hear the man out…” Jeremy continued.
“f**k!!!” Dylan yelled as he walked away to grab a seat opposite me, his eyes on me as though I could disappear to Eloise if he looked away for a second.
“Come on guys, my wolf got the best of me and you know these things can’t be controlled.” I lied, but none of them uttered a word.
“I mean, we never decided on a way to make sure we end up with her? Let’s decide, how do we know who she wants?” I continued, chest heaving.
That was when they started paying attention to what I had to say, I could see it from their body movements, both of them wanted her as much as I did, and there’s no hiding it.
Curse the moon goddess for never letting me have anything just for myself aside from my damn name.
I groaned lowly, making sure my brothers couldn’t notice the frustration I felt.
“Well, what if she marries us?” Dylan and I threw the ‘ever so smart’ Jeremy a look.
Who in their right mind would say ‘Yes’ to marrying three men at the same time?
“No, hear me out,” Jeremy urged. “She spends time with each of us for a period of time… which is almost like marrying us, only, none of us would be marking her or getting married officially before wolves and the goddess.”
it made sense, for the first time, Jeremy was making sense and I was all for it, and with the look on Dylan’s face, he didn’t completely hate the idea.
“How long? The period of being with her per person would be how long? A month?” I asked and Dylan shot me a deadly glare.
“Okay, maybe a month is too long for our wolves to cope, that would mean it'll take us 4 months to get her to choose…” I corrected myself, and Dylan’s gaze softened.
“Let’s say two weeks…” Jeremy chipped in, and thankfully, we all agreed to that.
“Who’s in for two weeks? We can end this all in two months and decide who's going to be with her.”
I raised my hand but Jeremy didn't.
“What are you waiting for?” I shot him a look and he just shrugged.
“You know… I still can’t shake the feeling that we’re deciding when we’re not even sure she’d agree to dating three different men in the span of two months…”
Two times today and he’d made sense, making me wonder how many years we’d have to suffer for the wisdom he’s showcased today.
“You’re on a streak uh?” Dylan jested in a cold tone.
Jeremy didn't know how to react, so he just stared at him like a lost dog.
“We can all just explain to her,” I said, tightening my fist.
I wasn’t planning on lying or deceiving her, she had to know exactly what she’s getting into, although I had a strong feeling it would be me she'll choose in the end.
“Let’s do just that, we’re honorable men!” Dylan agreed and Jeremy nodded along.
“And oh, there’s something you all should probably know…” I started, and they all stared at me, waiting for the reveal.
“Eloise is the one Darius aims to capture, so with him coming and her being here, we might have some drama. But she swears she's innocent.”
We all exchanged looks, then Dylan spoke up, “And did your wolf trust her?”
He looked as though he wished my wolf did, as though it'll break him if my wolf didn’t.
“Yes!”
And that wasn’t a lie. I trusted everything she said, “but there’s a possibility her father did do those things and she genuinely doesn’t know.” I added.
Jeremy yawned, stretching, “So the moon goddess gave us a mate who is guilty of wolf laws and should be out to death, but makes us burn like fools for the same criminal.”
“Yeah, that’s f****d up, we’re f****d up!” I agreed, leaning into my chair.
“So who goes first, who would she be with first, and who next? How do we arrange the order?”
Dylan probably just asked the question on everyone’s mind.
“Just our natural order of birth?” Dylan added, that was fishy, he knew he was the first, and he’d have to be the first to be with her.
“Sounds fine…”
Jeremy spoke up before I could protest and I knew that meant the idea was going to fly.
“So Dylan goes first, then me, then Jeremy?” They nodded along and I swallowed hard, “Any rules?”
“You don’t get your hands on her when she’s with another brother!” Dylan said, staring into my face.
“Is that rule for me or for everyone,” I rolled my eyes and a small smile tugged at his lips.
“For everyone,” but his eyes were still fixated on me.
“Yeah sure,” I broke the contact as I turned my face to the side, only then did he stop staring at me like I was some guilty criminal.
“And whoever breaks the rules and tries to confuse her would be out of the game!” Dylan said with finality, also staring at me.
I sighed hard.
“Sure whatever, let’s get to the hard part, how do we get her to partake in this selection process?”
“Since I came up with the idea, I won’t be the one discussing it with her.”
Jeremy opted out… the p***y!
“And since I’m going first, I won't also be the one…” Dylan removed himself from the equation too.
We all knew if she didn’t like the idea, then she’d probably hate whoever brought the idea to the table with her, and our wolves would be so heartbroken, the weak bastards didn’t want to get on her bad side.
“So that leaves just me…” I said, but I wasn’t ready to be the one at the receiving end if she hated the idea.
“Well, from what we saw earlier, you both seem to be getting along pretty well, so I guess she’d be comfortable with you telling her!” Jeremy said with a smirk on his face.
I stared at the bastards, both of them trying their best to hide the evident smile on their faces, they must feel victorious.
“It’s fine, neither of you need to ask, I’m in!” I heard that voice that made my wolf jump every damn time.
And even though I felt relieved to find out I won’t need to have an awkward conversation with her, I knew she must have been eavesdropping on us, once again.
