Kim pulled the car into the parking lot. Poised on a seaside cliff on the outskirts of town, the Silva Brothers’ Brewpub had the look of an era gone by. Allie studied the weathered cedar facade through narrowed eyes. “I don’t know why I let you talk me into this.” Flashing a broad smile, Kim said, “Because I’m always right, and you know it.” “Do I?” Allie pulled open the heavy oak door. “The parking lot’s empty.
