Lydia heard voices outside and glanced up, but the people kept walking. She put down her crocheting and leaned her chin on her hands. It had been another slow morning at The Gallery. The occasional tourist wandered in, but no one from town had stepped foot in the shop since the wedding. It didn’t take a genius to figure out something was up. She pulled out her phone. Two minutes on social media and a few texts confirmed her suspicions.
