It was already almost noon when Adeline reached home. She headed upstairs to wash up and changed into a set of clean clothes before heading down to meet Vallerie.
"Madam Adeline, Madam Vallerie asked for you," one of the maidservants informed her respectfully.
Adeline smiled at the girl and replied, "Thank you. I'm on my way now."
She then continued to head over to Vallerie's room. Vallerie was resting on a soft cushioned couch when Adeline knocked on her door. "Grandma, you were looking for me?" she called out.
Hearing Adeline's voice, Vallerie opened her eyes, and her lips curled into a smile, "Yes. Are you busy at the moment?"
