"So what if they've heard me?" Chloe was unbothered.
Adeline leaned closer to Chloe's ear and whispered, "Imagine if they got mad at you and chased you down the streets. They might even throw things at you."
Chloe trembled just at the thought of it. She eyed the people in front of them and smiled wryly, "Well then, forget what I just said. I don't want to be torn into pieces."
Adeline grinned at her at that, "Let's go. If we stay out here any longer, we aren't going to make it in."
Then, they wiggled their way through the crowd and strode up to the front desk. "Hello, I'm here to hand in my resume," Adeline said.
"Okay, just leave it here," the receptionist glanced at Adeline and pointed to the tray on the desk.
