The next morning, the Lockwoods' driver sent Adeline to Roland's company. Upon arriving, she stared at the imposing entrance and recalled the time when she and her parents would walk into the company hand in hand. Back then, she was the happiest and carefree girl on earth.
As she entered the building, she walked straight towards the elevator customized only for the chairman's usage. The receptionist immediately came forward to stop her and asked with a smile, "Hello. May I know who you're looking for?"
Adeline turned around, looked at the receptionist, and replied softly, "I'm looking for the chairman."
