Adeline was shocked to hear Chloe broke her words so soon.
Her face darkened as she glared at Chloe, "Fine. Then we won't be friends anymore."

Then, she said in feigned sadness, "But you said they're aloof and distant. If even you can't handle their coldness, do you think I can be of any use? I'd be like a deer in headlights! Don't tell me that you're so stony-hearted that you're willing to see me suffer?"
