1 - My mate is a monster

"When you find your mate you will be happy -they say-

but what if my mate is a monster?"

"It will be the best day ever!" Shouted my best friend next to me and I giggled. "I will find my mate! I am really excited!" she was standing in front of me holding her blue and red dress alternately in front of her. "Which one should I wear?"

"Hmm, the red one." I answered. 

"What is the problem?" she asked as she sat next to me on the bed. "You are not as excited as you should be. You will find your mate!"

"I know, I am just nervous. What if my mate won't want me?" I wondered. She just stared at me like I have two heads. 

"Don't be ridiculous!  You are gorgeous and smart, so shut the f**k up and try this on." she throw a black dress at me and I laughed. That's why I love her.

I put on my black dress and I already felt uncomfortable. The dress was short and my breast wanted to fall out of it.

"Damn girl, you look sexy!" came in to the room Hazel. She wore her red dress and now there was make up on her face. 

"I don't know..." I mumbled. It wasn't me. 

"Just sit down, let me take care of your make up."

"No! If I find my mate I want to look like me. Not like a whole other person."

She just nodded and rolled her eyes.

"Girls, are you ready?" my mom shouted and we just looked at each other. That's it we have to go. We walked downstairs and when my mom saw me she started crying. 

"Mom, don't cry." I hugged her. "I will come back I promise."

"I am just really happy. My baby will find her mate." she let go of me and hugged Hazel too. "Take care"

When we walked outside there was a car already what was waiting for us. 

In every year the girls who just turned 18 have to attend at a Ball where they will meet a lot of unmated wolves. The point is to find their mate. When you find him from that moment you are his. If your mate is a Gamma than you can choose to go with him or go back to your home. If it's a Beta than you can say goodbye to your family but you have to go with him. When you are mated to an Alpha, than you don't have a choice. He will decide that you can say goodbye to your loved ones or not. An Alpha needs his mate and thy are known as the most possessive creature.

When the big Mansion came to my view I got chills. I was really nervous and I was sure that I can throw up at any seconds. 

"We are here." when the car stopped Hazel jumped out of the car. I took a big breath and the next second I found myself in front of a big door.

"Come!" Hazel grabbed me by my hand and dragged me in to the Ball room. My eyes widened when I saw how many people were here. I saw girls who already found their mate and I was happy for them. 

"Stop standing like a statue." Hazel whispered in my ear and she was right. I have to calm down. I was looking at the crowd but I didn't feel my mate and it made me a little sad.

"My mate is here!" she sniffed in the air and the next second a really handsome man stood in front of her. He had blue eyes and a very nice smile. 

"Mate" he said. Hazel grabbed him by his nape and kissed him passionately. 

I smiled at them, then turned around and left to find the bathroom. I tried to not bump into anybody but it was hard because the were a lot of people. When I almost reached the bathroom I smelled chocolate. I turned around in confusion to see where this smell come from but I didn't find anything. I furrowed my brows and tilted my head. 

'It's our mate' I heard my wolf. I froze and tried to find him. The smell became stronger. 'He is close' Sarafina, my wolf said. She was really excited and I was too. 

From nowhere suddenly the door slammed open and soft screams could be heard. Everybody stepped backwards. I didn't see who scared everybody this much but I didn't really cared. I just wanted to find my mate. 

"What are you looking at? Keep chatting!"  I heard a deep voice. Who is it? I pushed myself through the crowed. The smell became stronger and I bumped into a hard chest. I wanted to say sorry but when I looked up and met his eyes the world stopped around me. 

His eyes were dark brown, almost black. His face was like a masterpiece. His nose was just as perfect as his kissable lips. He had a scar close to his right eyes but it made him more handsome. 

"Mate" he said. His eyes were on my lips, then my chest. When he looked at my breast a growl escaped from his lips. He looked in my eyes again but my best friend grabbed me by my wrist and wanted to drag me from him but my mate was quicker. He grabbed her by her neck and a yell escaped my lips. 

"What are you doing?" I shouted at him in horror. Hazel's mate tried to protect her but my man grabbed him too and throw him across the room. 

"She tried to take you from me." he said looking at her like he could kill her in any minute. I was afraid of him.

"Put her down!" I grabbed his hand and tried to stop him but he was too strong. "Please." he looked at me in the eyes and put Hazel down. I hugged her.

"Are you okay?"

"Run Melody! He is Xavier Knight." I looked in my mate's eyes and then the truth hit me.
