Mandy's POV
The moment I revealed the real bracelet, the room fell into stunned silence.
Susie's expression twisted instantly.
Her eyes widened, then filled with disbelief, then range.
"You… you…" Her voice trembled violently. "You tricked me!"
She couldn't believe I would so on guard and won't even let her se the real bracelet
I didn't answer her question. I didn't need to.
I simply slipped the real bracelet back into my bag, my movements calm, as though nothing unusual had happened but Susie suddenly screamed.
"Atlas! Take it from her!"
Her voice cracked, it became sharp and hysterical.
"Take the bracelet from her! It's mine! It should be mine!"
Her breathing became erratic, her pale face flushed with agitation.
"Atlas!" she shrieked again.
