Mandy's POV
For the rest of the weekend, I stayed inside, preparing myself for the week ahead. I avoided all the drama and stayed on my own, so when the week began, I was more than ready to take it on.
"Tax officials are around. They've been waiting for you." My assistant told me.
I wondered what they were after. I never really had any tax issues before.
"What do they want?" I asked Lily.
"I don't know, they won't speak until they see you."
My heart began to skip even further. I had a lot of issues in my life and certainly didn't want another one adding to it.
I made it to my office and they followed after me immediately.
"Thank you for having us." They greeted me as they took a seat before me.
"We are here for a very important business." They began to explain.
