"Where is she? I saw her on the docks an hour ago and I shouted after her but she didn't hear. When will she return? I need to see her," He moved forward, clutching onto the fabric of my suit in desperation.
"She won't return," I replied, numb.
"What do you mean by that?" He hissed.
"Domenico..." I called, taking his hands off my shoulders and he stared at me, telling me to continue. "I love her. Alexa... I love her, so much," I stated.
His eyes widened, surprised but only for a moment before a small grin crept onto his face.
"Would you check that out? You fell in love with the woman you were going to end up marrying, not knowing she was the same woman that supposedly drowned at sea nearly 10 years ago,"
