CHAPTER FIVE
JERRY NAYLOR WAS BOYISHLY HANDSOME, with dark hair closely cropped, a surfer's tan, and a trimly muscular build. He was perhaps a year or two younger than Andy. He was regarded as something of a whiz kid in the local construction industry-as smart and competent as he was sharp in appearance.
He and Andy were talking business in a smart mid-town restaurant when Andy suddenly looked up, smiled and rose to his feet.
Jerry twisted his head to follow the direction of Andy's gaze. At first, his expression was inquisitive, but he quickly switched it to a smile that outshone Andy's. He took his feet, also.
