Darkness has swallowed the room and so has silence. I don't really know how much time has passed in this room, but it felt like forever. A lovely forever, but I was aware than every forever has a goodbye. I turn on my side and look at Alexander. The man was soundly asleep, his face fully relaxed for the first time in a long time. The blanket was barely covering him, draped only over his pelvis, offering me the opportunity to admire him a little longer. My eyes scan over his bare chest and abdomen, and I hold back from touching him. I don't think I have ever met someone like Alexander.
