Chapter Twenty-Five
On the wall behind the platform above a thick black door hangs a massive Sea Lamprey. Mounted on an impressive wooden plaque with a name plate. It stretches out for over two persons in length and the thickness of one. It is unpleasant. A creature like no other. The mottled brown and green wide rubber like mouth is fully dilated and turned to reveal its internal machinery of death. The small black eyes stare out towards the tank watching.
The overhead chain from the gantry crane swings empty above the still pool below. The warehouse is empty one dim light shines down from above the crane. Flags of war, adorn the walls.
