"I can't believe...you saved me.." I said, slowly panting in pain. The person sat there, rolling their eyes. "What else is there to do? Who wants a gasping little flexing granny to die? And plus, stop crying, old hag!" The person exclaimed, giving me a slap. "O-ow!" I groaned.
Clyfe walked to me and the girl, sitting beside us. "So, Valerie, why did you wanna bother saving someone you hate?" He asked, eating dog food. "Well, basically, she reminds me of my older sister, except the fact that she did not get devoured by our parents when we were poor." She said, shrugging and sipped on her tea. I examined her. She was about 4'5, I'd say. And she had wavy, blonde hair with her bangs being pink. She was really cute, like a small doll.
"So you were the one who had that gun and whip?" I asked, looking into her soulful, sparkly, ocean-looking eyes. She nodded. "My dad wanted to help me be skilled in combat, knowing that we were poor and we eventually had to protect ourselves from any danger, so that's why these pointy stuff are rocks and blades from rusted swords." She said, giving me the whip. "That's actually really cool." I said, shocked and interested. "What about the gun?" Clyfe asked, trying to grab it, but Valerie beat him to it.
"Don't you dare to touch it! The wrong fingerprints will permanenty kill you!" She exclaimed. "Even if I wanted you dead, since we are all up for winning this tournament, I want that dog bone so badly." She said, clenching her hand onto the gun. "Anyways, these bullets are actually deadly lasers. Using my inner focus and ambition, the bullets shots will be faster, depending of how much ambition I hold at that moment." I stared at her, all confused.
"Nevermind. Let's just say, at the duo thing, I am up for it." She exclaimed, slapping the gun onto her other free hand. "Duo? We are all gonna be duos?" I asked, surprised. "Actually yes, all these obstacles are based off of dog themes. The second one will be all about teamwork, so everything basically means that you have to trust your partner." Clyfe said, looking at Zydna with puppy eyes. "No way, you better pick someone else, since girls stay together and I want to see how she is doing." Valerie exclaimed, grabbing onto Zydna's arm. "Um, ow?" I said, annoyed and in a pain. "See! We are made to be partners!" Valerie said, empowered.
Clyfe sighed. "Alright, then." He said, walking off, trying to find a good partner.
He after a few moments sat on a bench. And just when he sat on the bench, the surroundings would start getting smelly. "Oh god, what is this smell?!" He exclaimed, holding his dogs nose. The person sitting beside him sighed. "Not you too.. I never managed to get a partner because I smell. It wasn't my fault that I had to kill off a skunk TransFuse, and it let off a fartcould onto me." He said, looking at Clyfe. Clyfe took his hand off of his dogs nose, looking at him. "You're a caterpillar, aren't you?" He said, curious. "Yes, why?" He said, confused.
"Want to be my partner for this dungeon? I never really got anyone to buddy up with, since the girl I came with is buddied with a girl named Valerie a-". "Valerie?! She called me a smelly sock who wasn't washed in a decade! She is so mean!" He exclaimed, glaring at the ground. "Don't worry. We will be in the top 100, just be sure of it." Clyfe said, smacking his hands together. "Actually.. we will be 24 left in the tournament after this dungeon.." The caterpillar said, looking worried. "Damn it.." Clyfe said, biting his tongue.
"What's your name, kid?" Clyfe asked him. "Lepidoria. My name has been kind of harrassed the last few years.." He said, sad. "That's the most awesome name I've heard!" He exclaimed. "R-really?! You think so?!". "I know so, buddy! Let's team up and we can get through this!" He said, hyping Lepidoria. "Yay!" He said, happily.
Meanwhile Lepidoria and Clyfe bonded, Valerie and Zydna discussed.
"So, what kinds of stuff will happen?" I asked Valerie, looking at her thinking face. "Speed, determination and your sense of abilities." Valerie said, snapping her fingers. "I am so gonna win this!" She exclaimed, looking at Zydna.
"Actually... I don't know my own abilities. I always had my Hagendresh with me, since I know it's the only thing I have for myself." I said, holding it. "Wait.. you have Hagendresh?! It's a damn lightning rod! If you awaken it's true powers, you will be unstoppable!" She exclaimed.
I'd get hyped up. "I really need to figure out how to awaken it, then..". Valerie slapped Zydna. "Of course you gotta! What if we will die?! Or what if I will die, out of everything that matters!" She exclaimed, holding Zydna by the ears.
I pulled her hands off of my ears. "I get it. You are amazing, everyone else sucks. But can you please keep it down? Your ego will most likely kill us instead of my weak sense of empowerment." I said, rolling my eyes.

A few days went, since each resting place goes for a week so all hurt will be healed and survive the upcoming parts of the tournament. Sadly, 23 people died due to their own injuries. So now we are 297.
Arenda appeared in the big screen, and started fixing her furdo. "Welcome remaining survivors. This dungeon is all about teamwork and determination to get to the win. So your goal is to get through an obstacle, with each other's help, while trying not to get killed by each other. There also is a huge plat form in the middle where the bloodbath will happen. Since a few died due to injuries, the stakes will go higher. So, 10 of you will prevail, and 5 of you will face me, each one of you, in the final part." She said, holding the golden dog bone.
I exhaled, trying to calm my nerves. "You rea-". "Shut it! I am trying to focus on the bullets sizes!" Valerie said, holding her hand onto my mouth. "I'd growl, punching her hand off of my mouth. "Get serious! You are such a f*****g baby!" I exclaimed. She stared at Zydna. "I am actually 12 years old, I am basically a half-adult! Stop being a granny and let's go!" She yelled.
Right when we arrived at the reception, to sign us up as a duo, we noticed Clyfe and Lepidoria. "Ew, it's the ranky sock again." Valerie said, whipping her hand in front of her nose. Lepidoria sighed, sadly. Clyfe would get a bit mad. "Give respect, you damn brat!" He exclaimed. "Respect people the way you want them to respect you! Come on Lepidoria, let's take our place." He said, grabbing onto Lepi's arm, walking through the gates. Valerie groaned. "That was boring enough. Let's go already!" She said, hyped, grabbing Zydna by her arm while running off.

Everyone was on their designated spot. Apparently, Arenda wanted to switch it up even more, by killing off the weakest minds there was remaining. So, now we are 260 and we are all scattered around. So now we have to kill people through our paths in order to group up with our own partners. This will get tense and difficult.
✨ ✨ ✨
There was a gong, that made a loud, shrieky sound for a whole minute. And, when the gong would stop, everyone had to find their partner and kill everyone else in order to survive.
I tried to breathe calmly, trying to find Valerie. "Where the hell is she- there!" I told myself, looking 100 feet away at her pink, wavy short dress.
When we stood there, the gong started to make it's banging noise. We all went into our positions. My main goal was to group up with Valerie and try to find Clyfe and Lepidoria.
The gong stopped making it's banging sound, and everyone started yelling as they ran. I started running as well, holding Hagendresh behind my back. A few people would start attacking me, but I managed to finish them off with one swing. The survivor counter would go down as soon as someone died. 254, 253, 250, 246. It was really hesitant and everyone went berserk to the death toll.
I managed to get through the first obstacle part, until someone shot a ball of steaming-hot magma. I looked at the direction it came from, noticing a red-haired, tall-looking guy walking towards me with pride in his eyes. He definitely mastered the ego and went uncontrollable. I just knew I had to fight him in order to stay alive. I went into position and put Hagendresh in front of me, and exhaled. "Come at me!" I yelled at him. He started smirking. "You sure are a cutie when you are determined while having fire in your eyes." He said, standing arrogantly. "You will be beautiful as a melted human." He smirked another time.
✨ ✨ ✨
I started running towards him, preparing to get a good distance to swing my sword onto him. I failed hitting him a few times, since his agility was uncanny. He packed a few punches to my shoulders and face, to weaken me down. I started panting, closing my eyes and focused on my surroundings.
Right before he was about to hit me with a ball of magma, I managed to avoid it with my sword, but I failed at avoiding his right-after punch onto my throat. "Guh!" I started exclaiming. He laughed maniacally. "Remember my damn name! Malarch! The master of the heat!" He started laughing louder, finally managing to hit me with a small droplet of magma, burrowing through my top. "No you don't!" I exclaimed, my eyes turning a bright sparkle of a yellow color. I pulled the sword beside me, dashing as fast as I could, hitting him with a massive jolt of electricity, stunning and throwing him off the round area. I exhaled, holding my chest the droplet burrowed through. "Shit..." I told myself biting my tongue as I saw Valerie killing off a few people within seconds and Clyfe and Lepidoria managed to group up and cleared their path with ease. I still was pretty relieved that they were doing pretty good.
I spat some blood, looking at the monitor, showing that only 46 remaining now. 36 to go.
✨ ✨ ✨
A few minutes later, me and Valerie managed to team up, and we killed off a few people, narrowing it down to 35 since a few others died too. We tried to find Clyfe and Lepidoria, until we saw they struggled against a TransFused dingo.
Clyfe's claws would expand rapidly, turning into a brown color instead of black. He dashed, swinging his massive claws at the dingo, missing a few times. The dingo kicked his jaw, hopping backwards, headbutting his gut right after due to it's speed and resilience. Clyfe flinched, crouching down. Lepi aimed at the dingo, shooting a web, managing to catch it's left leg and the dingo fell onto the hard concrete ground. Lepi, shot a orange liquid, sizzling as it flew at the dingo. It managed to hit the dingo's tail, carved it's tail, making it howl a scream in agony. Lepi ran at the dingo, ending it's suffering by shooting a laser-like poison shot through it's head, killing it off. "We have to keep each other alive, right?!" Lepi exclaimed.
Clyfe nodded, rubbing his temples. "Thanks a ton, kid!" He said, holding a thumbs up. AFter a short moment, he looked at the monitor, but little did he know, a chameleon slapped his nape with it's lashing tongue, putting him into sleep. There was a chameleon and a wasp that was a pair, that did really well in the dungeon. The wasp shot sharp pins of it's stinger at Clyfe and Lepi. Lepi fought against the wasp, and Clyfe fought the chameleon who was camouflaging all the time. "This annoying little prick!" He growled, swinging his massive claws around himself. Lepi tried shooting his poison at the wasp, but she always managed to fly around his shots. Clyfe saw reflections of the chameleons shifting. He then, dashed as fast as he could, landing on top of the chameleon, with it's tongue stuck onto a rock. Clyfe would hear screaming from the right side, noticing the wasp hit Lepidoria and grabbed him. "C-clyfe! D-don't! Don't you dare to try to save m-me! I-I had a good run." Clyfe bit his tongue, deciding whether he would kill off the chameleon and be closer to the goal, or save his friend, risking his own life.
"I'm-". "Clyfe!". A loud shout would be heard.
To be continued...
