Each day and morning, I either daydream about blood and gore, or about the death of my loving mother. As much as I want to, I won't be bothering much about her death. My father on the other hand, is all gone and I have no idea where he is. I still miss him even if he left me and my family when I was just a toddler. Anyways, this is the story about my goal to be in the Lords of Assassins.
It's morning, and I always did my morning routine which was based off of training using my wooden sword, and drinking soothing tea to cleanse my soul from the pure darkness that has engulfed this village, Silverdale.

A few hours later, after training, I went to the nearby lake, to cool me down. I went up a small cliff, changing my attire into a bathing suit I bought a few weeks ago. I stood by the edge, removing the hairclip off of my hair, looking down. "The water has sunk a bit, huh?" I told myself, backing off a few feet to prepare to dive down.
I looked up to the sky, exhaling the air I took in, running off, until a male appeared out of nowhere, only in boxers. "Wh-whoa-!" I exclaimed, tripping over a rock, confused to what is happening. He'd run towards me, trying to grasp onto my hand, but he was too late. "Have a fun one!" He exclaimed, as he saw me falling down the cliff.
As I was in mid-air, I was trying to process to the situation. I was really unsure of how it could happen.
A few seconds later, I fell into the water, looking around with a squint in my eyes, began swimming. A loud splash was being heard, and everything would be starting to get blurry.
✮ ✮ ✮
Ten minutes later, I lied on a big leaf, looking up to a large oak tree. "W-where am I?" I whispered, looking around my surroundings. "You are at my hut, sweetheart." A voice was being heard, as he walked to me, looking down with his medium-long black hair, the water from his hair was slowly dripping onto my cheeks.
Ugh... what even happened?
"Seems like you swallowed too much of the saltwater from that lake." The guy said. "Saltwater? It's a lake. Lakes are only fresh water." I said, with a gloomy voice, squinting at his face. "Anyway, who are you and what were you doing at the cliff snooping?" I added.
"The name is Clyfe. And no, I was not born on a cliff to get that name, my parents are fond of unusual and different names, that's all." He said, proudly, smirking. "You are oddly satisfied by that, aren't you?" I asked, pretty disgusted. "Heh, yeah, I actually am." He said, scratching his head, with a sweet smile. I'd keep on staring at him.
"Here, let me give you a hand to stand up before you decide to collapse." He said, reaching out his hand. "I don't need help from you, thank you!" I exclaimed, struggling to get up. Clyfe would sigh, pulling me up gently. "I told you not to help me!" I exclaimed again, pushing him away. "Where is my Hagendresh?!" Clyfe twitched, hopping backwards. "Hagendresh?! THE Hagendresh?!" He whisper yelled. "Yeah? What about it? I got it from my dad before he decided to abandon me." I said, walking around the hut, searching for the sword. "What was the name of your father?" He asked, holding his chin. "Mathis Vedelyurs." I said, confused. "Oh my god! Your dad is in the Three Thrones of the Universe?!" He said, gasping for air. "Stop acting like a damn dog, Clyfe!" I yelled. "I am a TransFuse." He said, rolling his eyes. "TransFuse? What's that?" I asked, confused like always.
"TransFuse are people and creatures in the 4% of the world who was born as part human, part animal. I got agility and strength increased when I was born." He said, holding his hands to his hips, proudly. "This isn't a game. This is reality." I said, annoyed. "I am being serious! Throw me a bone!" He groaned. "Why would I even try to-" "I mean't the bone that's by ur feet." He said, grunting. "Oh- My bad." I said, awkward, grabbing it.
I'd aim over yonder, tossing at a high tree to trick. Clyfe would be dashing quickly, flying really high, catching the bone with his mouth, landing with his tail on the ground. "I awm skwillwed." He said, with the bone in his mouth. "Uh, what?" I asked, not knowing what he even said. "I am skilled!" He exclaimed, spitting it out. I rolled my eyes, walking off.

A few hours later, me and Clyfe was eating some beans he made.
"So, uh.... What is your name?" Clyfe asked, curious. "What? I told you my name, didn't I?" I asked, confused. "You did not. You only asked for my name so I was hoping you would reply me with your introduction." He said, shrugging. "Oh, okay. Well, my name is Zydna Vedelyurs. My mother was fond of the letter 'Z' because my brothers name is Zekus and my twin-sisters name is Zinnia, she wasn't that much to dedicate an unusual name for her." I said, looking down. "Hey, chin up. Atleast you are aware that your determination to find your family is strong, right?" He said enthusiastically. I looked at him, giving a slight chuckle.
As I was about to walk off to train, Clyfe said my name. I looked at him. "So, are you training for the yearly tournament?" He asked, wondering. "What tournament?" I asked, confused. "You don't know about the Tournament of Faith?! That's literally talked about everywhere! I have been training for it for the past year. Five tournaments, all leaders are a TransFuse and you fight different stages until the end, where they wait for the very best creatures or humans. It's a huge dungeon where 600 people gather up to apply and only 150 will make it through the confirmation pathway." He said, gesturing with his hairy hands. "Confirmation pathway?" I asked, all intrigued. "Yes. The confirmation pathway determines your determination level, ambition and emotions. Your father, Mathis, succeeded without even doing anything else, he didn't even have to fight Arenda." He said in an impact. "Arenda is the first leader of the tournament?" I asked, thinking. "Yeah. She is powerful. It's said she has the powers of Medusa, she can even turn weakminded people into stone and break them with one glare." He said, cringing a bit. "So, when is it?" I asked. "It's actually tomorrow night. Arenda is the most active during the night since she is a special type of TransFuse, all five leaders has their own special mastered skill." He said, giving me a brochure.

Later on, we went to sleep, and I thought about applying. But weirdly enough, they require a blood sample by getting one blood drop to determine the creatures health. I was really nervous to the fact that something that big will happen each year. I think I got this, though.
I looked at Clyfe, who was snoring louder than ever. After a short while, I looked up to the sky, watching the stars sparkle in the navy-blue sky. "So beautiful." I told myself, reaching my hand towards the skies. I fell asleep right after.
✮ ✮ ✮
During the morning, we dedicated our time to train and discuss about everything that had to do with the tournament. Clyfe told me that, those who doesn't have enough determination or ambition to go through it, might be executed right on the spot, where everyone could see and understand the harsh reality to those who are not strong enough for those kinds of things.
We decided to walk to the entrance since it was a few miles away. While we walked, a lot of different humans, creatures and living things walked past us, seemingly to be going at the same direction we did. I glanced at Clyfe, noticing him looking at me. "Oh, sorry.." He said, awkwardly, rubbing his neck and blushed. "Are you okay?" I asked, frowning. "Yeah. You smell nice, that's all.. and uh.. I wanted to see if there was anything special about you." He said, looking away. I looked at him. "You're part dog, right? Since your mouth and nose are exactly like a labradors." I said, examining his face. "Exactly, so my sense of smell is pretty amazing." He said, focusing on the path towards the entrance, but with a slight giggle. "Oh, I see. Interesting, actually." I said, halfly amused, walking beside him.
✮ ✮ ✮
A few hours later, we finally arrived at the huge, gray gates to the tournament. It was three bulldog TransFusers that guarded the gate, as two TransFuse poodles were getting blood samples by the appliers. I stared at Clyfe. "DIdn't you say TransFuse was a rare thing?" I said, questioning him. "Actually, my memory is like a goldfish's, so I could have messed the numbers up. However, in this area, dog breeds are common, though. And those five over there are really powerful. They are working under Arenda." He said, gesturing with his hands again. "So, basically, this means that Arenda is a TransFused half-do-" I would get interrupted by a screaming teenage boy. "N-no! P-please! Don't end me! I don't want to die!" He exclaimed, as the crowd started giving space for the guards.
"W-what's going on, Clyfe?!" I said, worried. "He will get punished. His determination and ambition wasn't strong enough." He said, with a monotone, but a disgusted tone. I looked down.
"You having guts to even bother Arenda to exist here?! That is despiseful!" One of the TransFuser bulldogs said, grabbing by the teenagers neck.
The bulldogs paw would grow in a rapid speed, covering the boys head, making a loud snap. He would clench his fist from time to time to make sure the boy wouldn't struggle anymore. "Soon he will be facing his own faith... in hell!" He exclaimed, as his dripping drool from his mouth was flapping around. He then after threw the boys to the rottweiler TransFusers, and they all ate his body. "What the f**k is this kind of a brutality?!" I whisper yelled. "That is, my sweetheart, the result of peoples selfishness and lack of ambition." He said, walking forward. "You may come if you still want to face consequences, if they exist." He said, gesturing, showing that I should still come. "Way to be misleading.." I said, with a annoyed tone. I walked beside him again.
✮ ✮ ✮
"Next. Next. Next!" The poodle said, as she took blood samples.
As I was about to give the poodle my index finger, a wavy, blonde-haired short girl, with pink-dyed bangs, went in front of me, tossing her hand in front of the poodle. "Wow, talk about being polite, kid!" I exclaimed. She looked back as the poodle took a sample from her finger. "Do you mind not screaming, granny?! Stand back or I will make sure the guards will smudge your old, wrinkly face!" She said, looking ahead, walking nochalant right after the poodle was finished with her sample.
"What the hell was that?! Do you know her?" I asked Clyfe, but he shook his head. "Probably a massive brag, like all of the other people. Now, let's hurry before the guards patience dies." He said, pushing me ahead.
✮ ✮ ✮
When we walked inside the hall, it would echo, as about 500 people already got in, talked. "So many people.." I said, noticing the girl from earlier. "I'll be right ba-". "Don't bother, she probaby got lucky." Clyfe said, as he held my wrist. "I still want to talk to her!" I groaned. "If you make a scene, Arenda's guards will hear you and end your life as if you were a piece of meat!" He whisper yelled. "Fine!" I said, rolling my eyes, glaring at the little girl.
✮ ✮ ✮
A loud clattering would be heard from the upper floors, as a fluffy shih-tzu TransFuse would appear, holding a golden dogbone. "Welcome everyone, to the annual Tournament of Faith. This year will be different. You all will fight each other, like always, but! You will be using a helmet that will decide your faith in this tournament. It works by, you all think of your ambition, and it determines what kind of a weapon you need. If you get that weapon in one special place in the area, you will be able to go to the other room! Remember everyone! There are three rooms! Each being harder than the first! This room will have to have 320 survivors, so 280 of you will unfortunately face your doom and death." She said, brushing her long fur. "Let the battle commence!" She exclaimed, grabbing a glass of redwine, watching the bloodshed.
Talk about being detailed and rushed, am I right?

As I ran, thinking of my ambition, which was to find my family and save this bad universe, I would see my Hagendresh. "Oh my god! Yes!" I told myself, grabbing hold to my Hagendresh. "Lucky w***e!" A guy would smirk, running as he swung his mace towards me. "H-hey! Distance!" I said, deflecting the swing with my sword, making a loud clatter. "Stand back!" I exclaimed. "Haha! No way! I am winning this easily!" He said, glaring. I grunted, using all my strength, managing to push him backwards, putting my sword on the ground, gasping for air, since the sword was heavier than I imagined. The guy wheeze laughed, lifting the mace above my head, swinging.
Just as he was about to hit me with one of the mace's edge, my head would start banging. "O-ow!" I yelled, holding my head. As I was trying to figure out what just happened, the time had stopped. I heard faint screaming and crying, of people in agony when they got slaughtered by each other. I quickly looked around, feeling a hard blow onto my head. I quickly looked up, looking at a timer, going 0:02. I didn't know anything, except that I had to kill this guy in order to process through the tournament. Right before the time went to zero, I rolled aside, kicking the sword upwards, deflecting the mace, using my hands. "Agh!" I screamed, biting my lip. The guy would laugh, his eyes being red with greed and disgusting thoughts.
I tried to pull the mace off of my hands, but I wouldn't be able to get my hands off of it's sharp pointers. I'd swallowed my pride, looking at the sword flying downwards. "Die, you asshole!" I yelled, tying my legs around his neck, finally managing to pull my right hand off the mace. I quickly grabbed hold to the sword, swinging it downwards in full force, cutting his head off, falling down onto his shaking, headless body. I, closed my eyes, as I heard people running towards me in full speed. I fainted by the blood loss I got.
Suddenly, whipping and shooting would make a loud sound, as someone finished off the people trying to kill me off. The person pulled my arm above themselves, and ran towards the resting room that was between the first and second room.
✮ ✮ ✮
A few hours later, I looked up. "Maybe it's time to wake up before you decide to die on me, you stupid fool." I groaned, my eyes getting filled with tears. "Y-you..!"
To be continued...
