Zydna kneeled on the ground. Malarch laughed. "She's that weak?! Come on, Mandore! You expect me to be weak as well or what?!" He said, staring at Mandore. "Shut up.." Zydna said silently. He looked back at her. "Did you say something, brat?!" He said, spitting a flame onto a curtain, simmering it. "I said.. shut up!" Zydna exclaimed, with pain inside her body. "Man, she is a pest!" He groaned. He then reached his hand, creating magma out of thin air, slowly spreading the area. Mandore threw an ice cube onto Malarch's head. "Don't over do it, moron. More magma and we will all fall down." He said, crossing his arms. Malarch rolled his eyes and then dashed towards Zydna. "Die!" He screamed. Zydna shakily stood up, gripped Hagendresh, closing her eyes. Blue sparks sparkled around her, blinding Malarch. "Damn it!" He exclaimed. She pulled the sword upwards. "For mother and Zinnia! Thor's Wrath!" The sword sliced through Malarch, splattering him all over the place, perishing him away. Afterwards, Zydna cracked her neck, grabbing his head. "Disgusting idiot." She said, stabbing the sword through his head. Malarch groaned a slight.  "Mandore, you're ne-" Mandore was long gone, teleporting back to the hideout the Reaper Souls had. "f**k!" She exclaimed, walking through the doorway to the main hall. "Lepi?!" Lepi and Mothraa looked at Zydna. "Zyd! You actually came?!" He said happily. "Of course. I would never leave my friends behind." Lepi and Zydna smiled together. "Funs over, raven-head." Mothraa said. "20 minues remains. Might as well go back to where you were unless you want to witness a friends death?" He said, teasingly. Zydna scoffed. "There is no way I've gotten this far to let him die!" Lepi cried a bit. "Zyd.." Mothraa stood in front of Lepi, growing two extra arms. "Servants, give me the set of Arthorebus." "Arthorebus?" Zydna asked confused. "The artifical weapons father made to make his kingdom safe from any danger. Please be careful, Zyd.." Lepi said worried. "There is nothing to be afraid of, Lepi. Remember everything we have been through? We are strong enough to beat anything!" Zydna said, trying to calm Lepi's senses. Mothraa sighed, quickly slamming onto Zydna from behind. "Agh!" She exclaimed, landing on the ground, scraping her a bit. "You cheap, old dustbug!" She exclaimed. She gripped her sword, clashing with Mothraa's swords. Cling, cling, clang. The swords kept on clashing, wearing them both down. Lepi's panic attacks increased by the second. "Zydna!" He said, wearily. Zydna looked at Lepi. "Calm your senses, Lepi!" Mothraa laughed hysterically. "He will die within the minute now." He said smirking eerily. "How can you be so selfish towards your own son?!" Zydna questioned him.Mothraa shook his head. "He isn't my son! He was adopted as an egg we found from the slum parts. The scientist sensed someone powerful was lying somewhere in the kingdom and we decided to raise him to see. And the more we knew, he had the rare power of Pulvatis. We couldn't let the chance go to waste. But since he disobeyed our rules, I let Ushinu poison him." Zydna couldn't believe what she just heard. "Who is Ushinu?" She asked. "That is one of the lead commanders of the Reaper Souls. The guards and protectors we had at the moment until we realized they were working against us after Urshinu poisoned Lepi. I suppose that is a bit sad, knowing I got betrayed twice." He said, shrugging tauntingly. "Stop acting so selfish and despicable!" Zydna said, sparks jolting around, flying towards Mothraa. He deflected them all with the swords he held, running towards Zydna as a counterattack. Zydna swung Hagendresh, cutting off half of his arms. "Quit being so obnoxious, Mothraa!" He grunted loudly, shoving her away. She slid back with a swift landing, jumping on top of him, grabbing his neck. "H-hey! Don't you dare!" He said, clasping onto her hips, trying to pull her off his shoulders. Zydna growled, slowly pulling his head off, making a shrieky and unpleasant sound as the muscles and veins snapped off of his neck.  "Gruh!" She exclaimed, throwing his head down, letting Mothraa fall down. "Still not dead ye-" Splosh. "Now." She said as the blood of his head splattered onto her face. She looked for a moment down to the corpse. "Such a dark soul.." She told herself. Lepi would start coughing rapidly. Zydna looked up, running to him. "Lepi! Are you okay?" Lepi coughed some blood up. "I am poisoned! Of course I am not fine!" The doors suddently opened, and the rest of the gang ran to Zydna and Lepi. "Lepi!" Clyfe said, crying. Lepi looked at Lunia. "Thanks for letting me meet up with my friends.." He said with a faint smile. Lunia gave him a slight nod. "Of course." Valerie was confused. "Wait. Weren't you against us at first? Or was all that a hoax?" Lunia smirked a bit. "Clearly it was a hoax. He told me the only way to make you guys listen was to trick you. And here we are, at the very end, talking to Lepidoria." Lepi nodded a slight. "Before my time runs out, bury me in the meadow of the Tsubaki flowers." Everyone gave him a nod in understandment. "I also got a few final words before the seconds disappear quickly. I have a note in my back pocket, please read it after you bury me." He said, pulling it out, placing it gently onto Zydna's hand. Zydna started tearing up. "If only I was more focused and managed to remove the poison.." She said, looking down. "Don't beat yourself up, Zyd. You did your best, didn't you?" Clyfe said, placing her head onto his shoulder, patting her. Binivia and Valerie hugged each other. "To think that we didn't get to know you any longer..." She said with a sad tone. Valerie, looked down, upset. "I love you guys, please save the world for the sake of everyone.." He said, closing his eyes, as his final breaths stopped. They all huddled together, crying. "Let's make his final wish come true.." Clyfe said, with a shaky voice. The gang carried Lepi together in a coffin, arriving at the meadow. "It's so beautiful, yet so dark.." Binivia said, faschinated. Zydna nodded. "Yeah.." Clyfe dug a pit, as they all placed the coffin down. Clyfe filled the pit with soil, as they all planted the Tsubaki flowers on top of the grave. Afterwards they all stood side by side. "Lunia? Can you read the letter for us?" Clyfe asked Lunia. She nodded. Lepi's Goodbye Letter Dear friends. I am now sitting in my room, awaiting for the last moments of my life. Father and mother will soon bring me to the main hall and start the sacrifice. I have a lot to say, but I don't have the chance to tell you guys individually. So I'm sorry if this is being too selfish. Binivia. The shining light and smile of the group. You always bring joy and you make sure everyone stays sane and okay in this despicable world. You haven't been with the group long enough, but we all cherish your presence and we are so happy to have you with us until the very end. Valerie. I remember the first time we met, you bullied me and called me a slimey, smelly bag of gym socks. I was really hurt, but I never realized a week after we would become real friends, even metaphorical siblings. You were the sister I hoped to have in my entire life, but I am so happy to have you in my life, knowing your past, ambitions and your fashion sense makes me enjoy life to the fullest. Clyfe. My bro, buddy, big brother from another furry mother. You were the one who made me feel proud of myself. I always wanted to make you proud to have me as your best friend, to be as strong and powerful as you, but I never got the chance to outshine you. I'm happy about that because you are so strong and cheerful and you always make people love themselves. I envy you for those reasons. Always be you and never lose your mind from beautiful ladies or creatures who gives you compliments out in the blue. And last but not least, Zydna. The girl who has the potential to become something powerful. You always are reserved, focused and determined to become something great. You have ambitions and goals like no one ever had. The first time we met I was a bit afraid of you because you had one of the strongest auras I ever met, and I knew my adoptive father. I know you have a rough past, but I know you will overcome your overthinking and empower yourself to become the savior in this world with us as your friends and close allies. I love you all. So I have made and given each of you something that might help you guys in the future. Clyfe, I give you a plate you can sharpen your claws and strengthen your physical powers. Valerie, I upgraded your gun by using my ability and makes it more destructive. Binivia, a necklace giving you the power to make your powers more physical. Zydna. I put my power organ in a glass cup, so you can pick which of you will inherit my powers. I'd rather it be any of you than no one at all. Lunia, since you are a big part of this, I want you to properly take care of my friends and make sure they all are staying sane. I wasn't strong enough to protect you all, but atleast I gave you some helping hands. That's it of this letter. I love you guys and never lose hope in each other. Lepidoria. They all cried together. "Lepi! We will save the world for you! For everyone!" Clyfe screamed. Zydna looked down. "I still feel ashamed of myself. To think I thought about myself over anyone I care about.." She said, drying her eyes. Binivia patted her back. "Like usual, you beat yourself up too much. Have faith in yourself." She said, smiling, giving Zydna a hug. They all took their final goodbyes to Lepi and headed back to the hotel they were renting for the rest of the month. No one of the group talked to each other, they were all thinking about the next tournament and Lepi. The death of Lepi shook them all, giving them a whole lot to think about the rest of the year.  All of the members ranks got upgraded. Zydna: C Clyfe: D Valerie: B Binivia: A Lunia: A+ To be continued...
