Zydna arrived at the meeting point they usually met, but suddently, she noticed a crowd surrounding Valerie.
"Do you guys mind leaving me alone?! I haven't stolen anything!" Valerie exclaimed annoyed.
"Yes you have! We saw you an hour ago stealing from the homeless man with those coins! What's your defense, brat?!" The man questioned.
"If he was homeless, clearly he wouldn't need some stupid coins, his fault to end up there anyway!" She answered with a disturbed tone.
Zydna sighed, walking up to her.
"Finally someone siding with me! Raven-head, help me out here!" She said, holding by Zydnas arm. Zydna rolled her eyes.
"I'll take care of her." She said, pulling Valerie aside to a table.
"Does it ever hit you that this town is respectable and helpful?" Zydna asked, staring at Valerie. Valerie crossed her arms. "Who cares? I needed the money to fill my backpack, what else is there to even defend? I am vulnerab-" Valerie got interrupted as she saw Clyfe and another girl. "Don't look, but Clyfe probably has a girlfriend."
Clyfe walked to Zydna and Valerie with a smile on his face. "Hey guys! Have you met my old friend Labrasca?" He said pulling the girl in front of them. "No... we haven't, and who is she?"
Labrasca stared at Zydna. "I am his childhood friend Labrasca, and I am here for an investigation since the Reaper of Souls got two new members, Kosmi, the previous Lord of the Universe, and Diamania, the previous leader of the Clingon Tournament. Check the monitor." She said, pressing the volume button up.
A cat TransFuse would be talking.
"Kosmi and Diamania joined the Reaper of Souls, increasing the threat level to humanity. No one knows the reason, but by a few sources, the reason is they want to end the world, meow. The empire is searching fo-". The monitor would be turned off by Binivia. "I don't wanna hear it. I am through of hearing my sister betraying the family name!" she exclaimed, with her eyes teared up.
Zydna hugged Binivia, as they all sat by a round table." Lepi arrived after an hour, all smeared up." Hey guys." he said, gloomy. Valerie looked at him disgusted. "What happened to you?!" She asked with a disgusted tone. "Cut me some slack, Val. Mom and dad wants me to get married to this guy to populate and restore our disrespectful family name. I don't want to, but they always force me to do stuff I don't even care about." He said, drying his tear-filled eyes.
Clyfe hugged him tightly. "No need to worry, man. We are friends and we will gladly let you think about something else, for instance the third Tournament!" He said, enthusiastically. Lepi sighed.
A few hours later, they walked to the tournament, but got interrupted by a praying mantis and a bumblebee. "Lepi! Your father Mothraa wanted us to claim you to the Hive mansion for the preparation of the wedding. Xyestel will wait for you there." The bumblebee said happily. "Xyestel?! Why him? He is as arrogant as a silverfish!" Lepi groaned. "He may be, but his family holds a big fortune and your father would be very upset if you don't do this." The bumblebee continued. "Where is mom in this?" Lepi asked questioning. "She is busy picking exotic flowers for the wedding." Lepi rolled his eyes. "I refuse!" He stated, crossing his six arms. The praying mantis scoffed, swiftly caught Lepi around his blade-like arms. "We don't accept negotiations."
"Hey! What the hell?!" Valerie exclaimed. The bumblebee smirked. "Little does that butterfly know, we are doing things by force, regardless if he wants to or not." He said with a grin. "Why are you telling his friends about that?" Valerie asked, squinting. He shrugged, about to fly off, as Clyfe gripped by his leg. "Might as well stay here and explain everything to us, or we go lethal." He said with a growl. Valerie gently placed her hands by the root of the bumblebee's wings. "H-hey! Don't do anything you will regret. Mothraa will not accept this without any sort of punishment or violence." He said, with panic in his voice.
Zydna sighed. "Let go of him, guys. Lepi, is this what you really want?" She asked Lepi, looking at him. Lepi sighed silently. "Yes. I know you guys won't accept it and it sounds insane but this is my family and we need to keep the tradition intact. Buzzers, please take me to father and prepare for the wedding." He said, as Buzzers flew off with Lepi.
"Lepi! You blind winged slimeball!" Valerie yelled after him, ready to shoot by Buzzers back side. "Don't Valerie, if this is what he wants, it is what he wishes." Clyfe looked at Zydna disappointed. "I thought you were different.." He said, walking off with Valerie by his tail.
Later on, Zydna sat by the entrance of the dungeon, thinking. "If you guys only knew what Lepi really thinks..."
A few moments later, someone sat beside her, exhaling. "Man, it sure is a ridealong by getting money for being this beautiful, don't you think, miss?" Zydna looked at the persons direction. "I guess? Who are you except for being a probable w***e?" She asked curiously. "Call me Lunia, nothing more to it. I know about you five, and I am most certainly not a w***e!" Lunia said, handing Zydna the newspaper regarding of the Reaper Souls. "Everyone knows specifically about you, the inheritor of Hagendresh and even the daughter of Mathis. You should be more proud."
"What gives you the right to talk down on me, Lunia?" Zydna asked, rolling her eyes. "Oh, sweet thing. I'm a great predicter of things and I for one know the outcome of the days end. Lepidoria, your friend, will be backstabbed by Xyestel, the assassinating brat who killed three mistresses who gave him the wrong nectar. I'll say that poisoning Lepi to death is very-". "Don't say it. I don't want to hear anything." She said, shoving the newspaper onto Lunia's lap, walking off. "I can help you save him, if you want, I suppose." Lunia said, telepathically handing Zydna a book full of mythological creatures. "I can assure you that with help of my knowledge and skills, you will have him back." Zydna opened the book, trying to tear it. "Why can't I destroy it?!" She said grunting, trying to tear the cover off. "Only a true magician or a strong set of mind can break curses, sweetheart. So what do you say? You in or are you out?" She asked, walking towards Zydna, clattering her heels. "What's the catch?" Zydna asked. "A date with your boyfriend Clyfe." Lunia quickly said. "He is not- fine. Can we go now?" She said, shivering a bit. "Tonight, an hour before the wedding commences. We are forced to eliminate some soldiers and guards first." She said, placing the book in her handbag. "Deal."
✨✨
It's 7PM. The entire hive castle is filled with guests and guards. Valerie, Binivia and Clyfe are hiding behind a statue by the entrance. Zydna and Lunia are hiding by a wall of cracked wood.
"What is the first thing to do?" Zydna asked curiously. Lunia smiled. "Break a small hole in the wall to the storage unit. There is a scorpion and a wood TransFuse. You should handle them by yourself. If not, I'll just toast their brains." She said, fixing her hair. "Uh okay.."
Storage unit
Medina stood and leaned onto a barrel of honey. "Why is this so boring?" She groaned. "Where is that little rat?" Bernida rolled her eyes. "Can you please stay silent or I will heel your loud mouth." She hissed, crossing her arms. Medina scoffed. "If you weren't Bathus's daughter, you would be eating scorpion tail for lunch." Bernida slapped Medina in the face. "Go further and you will surely be mistaken."
Zydna gently caressed the wooden wall, hearing voices. "Are you good at knowing creatures strength, Lunia?" She nodded with pride. "A scorpion hates cold and if you cut its tail off, it will be very weak since it is its only weapon to use. And the nymph are two types. Land and sea, land hates fire and any sort of heat, burning them up and sea are weak to absorbing things or being struck by lightning." She said. "Perfect!" Zydna said, about to break the wall, but got interrupted. "Please be more discrete or atleast careful to not wake anyones attention, will you?" Zydna rolled her eyes, slowly slicing an opening.
As Zydna and Lunia entered the storage unit, they encountered Bernida and Medina. "You!" "You!" "You!" They all glared at each other. "Why didn't you tell me the Reaper Souls were here, Lu-" Lunia had teleported away, knowing the outcome. "Whatever.. you two should just move along. I'm not gonna fight you two." "Actually, you were the one we were gonna kill, teehee." "Can you please shut the f**k up, Medina?! You always have to ruin the moment whenever we are gonna do something. So sit back and I'll do this, you scarab!" Bernida stared at her. Medina rolled her eyes, walking off. "Now, let's make it easy and take you to daddy." She said, standing in position. "You seriously call him your 'daddy'? Do you have daddy issues or something?" Zydna said disgusted. Bernida cracked her fists. "You are so gonna get crippled, brat!" She said, dashing at Zydna.
ZYDNA VS BERNIDA
Zydna unsheathed her sword, clashing with Bernida's dagger. A loud clang vibrated and shook some bottles down the floor, breaking them. Bernida kicked her leg up, hitting Zydna by her wrists, trying to pull the sword off of her hands. Zydna grit her teeth, pushing Bernida away, swinging her sword at Bernida. Bernida grasped by a plank, smashing it at Zydna's head, landing a hit. Zydna dropped the sword, holding by her own head. "Ow shit.." Bernida laughed hysterically. "It was this easy?! Medina and Mandore are so stupid!" She exclaimed, bark covering her arms, about to punch. Zydna's vision was blurry, trying to focus what was about to happen, but it was too late. Bernida landed a hit, bark covering all over Zydna's body.
She then carried Zydna by her shoulder, carving a hole in the ground, jumping into it. "Mission is completed. I'll be there in a minu-" Lunia stabbed Bernida by her neck with a poison pin. "Like I said, I predict every outcome." She said, crouching down by Zydna. "This might kill you, just saying." She put her hands over Zydna, petrifying the bark, until Zydna's body was visible. "I'm sure you being naked.. might attract perverts, so lucky you I brought you some clothes." She said, smirking, putting some clothes onto Zydna.
Later on, Zydna and Lunia was sitting in the storage unit. Zydna woke up slowly, rubbing her temples." What happened?" She said, groaning. Lunia gave Zydna some pills." I saved you, incapacitated the ginger and dumped her in a pit." She said, standing up. "How in the hell could you do that? Aren't you just a ma-". Lunia slapped Zydna with an angered attitude. "Never disrespect the beautiful things imbued with magic. I can kill you off in any second, letting your dearest Lepi die by his fathers poison!" Zydna gasped. "Wait what?! Lepi is gonna die?!" Zydna hollered, holding her mouth. "Clearly. His father helps the Cricket Kingdom to achieve the fortunes, killing his son is nothing to his heart since he has three other younger sons to pick from. Since Lepi is polyamorous, he is reluctant to overthink and always tends to give in to things his family forces him into."
"I can't believe it.. We have to hurry!"
Lepi sat in front of a mirror covered with rose petals and yellow dandelions. "How can this even happen? I have to contact father.. but I don't want to disappoint him either. The marriage is happening in 30 hours and I am far from a little bit ready!"
The door creaked open. Lepi's mother, Chrysanthenia, walked in, placing her hand onto Lepi's shoulder, smiling with a tear in her eye." Son, I'm so happy for you to achieve such happiness. Xyestel is handsome, likeable and can always make you happy." She said, picking up a portait. "I remember us being a happy family until we made an alliance with the Cricket Kingdom."
Lepi's Past
"Mommy! I found another tulip! It has an aquatic color and it smells mysterious!" Lepi said extatic." Chrys smiled. "Good job. It will come perfect in your album. Did it go well going to the northern tree?" She asked, caressing some of the tulip's petals. "It went great. Lectrica and Larcus told me it was really rare and tender. But they told me not to pick it up. But I wanted you to have it because it is as beautiful as you are, mom!" Lepi said, hugging Chrys. Chrys smiled, stroking his antennaes. "You make me so proud, son." She said, looking into his eyes.
Later that day, Lepi finished his album of rare flowers. "Mom will love this! I'm sure of it!" He exclaimed, running to the main hall.
There sat Mothraa and Chrys, talking to another king and queen, along with their daughter. "Deal?" The king said. Mothraa, without hesitation, gave him a nod, pushing Larcus forward. "Another 50 years?" Mothra asked. The king nodded, grabbing Larcus arm, walking off.
Lepi and Larcus made eye contact as they walked to the exit." W-what's going on, mom and dad? Why is Larcus going with strangers?" Lepi asked confused. Mothraa stood up, walking towards Lepi, giving him a slap in the face. "Don't be disrespectful, son! We had to sacrifice Larcus so we could be safe for another 50 years!" Mothra said, glaring at Lepi. Chrys stood up quickly. "Dear! Settle down! We can't do this.." She said with a gulp. "There is nothing else to do! Lenika, Lapisala and Llean was choices we made as well! Lepi is next to let go." Mothraa said, coldly. Lepi stood silent, running off after a few seconds. "Lepi!" Chrys said, running after him.
Lepi sat in his room, crying rapidly. Chrys sneaked inside his room, looking at Lepi, with tears filling his eyes. "Why are you doing this to us?!" He said, screaming. "Lepi... this is something we have to do. Sometimes in life you can't expect to find beautiful beings or moments, sometimes you need to sacrifice to survive in life. I would do anything to keep your siblings but, if we did, we would be gone a long time ago." Chrys sat on his petal bed, looking down. "The king came back, looking for you. He wants you to marry his son Xyestel in 10 years. Your father agreed to it, so he told me to fetch y-" Mothraa hollered. "Lepi, where are you? It's time!" Lepi stared at the door. "I-" Chrys held his mouth and mouthed: "Run. Never come back or they will get you. Truth is, the queen of the Cricket Kingdom mates with her childrens lovers and eats them up. Please, run as far as you can and never look back. I don't want to lose you either!" She explained, holding Lepi in her arms with a tight hug, pointing at the open window. "I'll always love you, sweetheart. Make mommy proud!" Lepi cried, giving her a nod, jumping out of the window, tumbling into the forest. "I promise, mommy." Chrys cried in her hands as Mothraa walked in. "Where is he? Oh, don't tell me you let him run off!" Mothraa said, gripping the handle of his blade, Perkute. "We can't risk another child! We have 50 years, right?! Please give us time!" Mothra grid his teeth, walking out as he slammed the door behind him.
Present
"Why me?!" Lepi asked, taking the portait off her hands, folding it and threw it out of the window. Chrys held two of his hands. "You have the power of toxins called 'Pulvatis'. You are the sole purpose to save this family from our many losses and pains and Xyestel wants to have it all to himself. But I don't want that to happen, but then you came back." "So this is my fault now?!" Lepi hissed. "Out of everything you said to me, the love you gave me, was all a hoax? A lie? A trick to kill me off?!" Lepi stepped back a few steps. "It's not true. Your father thought your other siblings had the power but then when he found out that day he saw you sprinkling your powder on the tulip making it grow beautifully quick, he talked to the Cricket Kingdom and told them you are valueable." She explained. "So you did agree to do all of this?! I can't believe my own mother chose to sacrifice her own blood to a few decades! It's about a life! How can you be so blunt?!" Lepi said, throwing a bottle onto the wall. Chrys looked down. "I-I don't know what to say except of me being sorry for all of this.." She said, about to walk closer to Lepi. Lepi grabbed a glass shard, pointing at her. "One more step, I dare you!" Chrys sighed, closing her eyes. "I suppose all left there is to do is to make you obey!" Lepi gasped, dropped the object in fear. "Mother, don't!"
