“Are you looking for this?” he asked with a smirk, his eyes full of excitement as he stared at Selene.
Selene's face flushed when he held the book in his hand, showing the cover to her. She had promised herself not to be intimidated by him. He clearly said he doesn't love her and doesn't care about her.
“Thank you. I was looking for it,” she said, her voice clipped, taking the book from his hold.
She turned her back towards him and made her way out of the library when Rayne suddenly tried to catch her hand, but instead of his hands touching hers, it drew the cloak she wore back, and the cloak fell off her head and shoulder.
Her hair sprawled out as the cloak settled down to the pool at the back of her feet. She turned abruptly, in shock, to face him.
“What is that for?” she asked
