The music began to play as everyone paired themselves up in two, walking to the stage to dance. Now that Selene was here, she could feel the same energy she felt back then, the first time she was in the palace. But now her parents weren't here, nor were her sisters.
She could see Isabella sitting at the high table with the king beside her. Though he was far from her, Selene could see him staring at her among the crowd.
Aron turned to face Selene. He had made it clear to Rayne that he loved the human and wouldn't stop chasing her even if he sent him away from the palace. Aron's eyes twitched when he saw her in that beautiful dress, which clung to her body like flesh.
