"You what?!" I exclaimed, growling as my voice carried the frustration of so many secrets that had been kept from me. It felt like an entire world had unfolded behind my back, and nobody had thought it necessary to clue me in.
Alice's voice came out in a hushed tone, almost like a whisper. "Yes, X, I found my mate."
My frustration was palpable.
