Alcina Massio slipped into her father’s office through the side door, the door which only the two of them had the access code to, and walked round to seat herself across from her father. Automatically her eyes went over her shoulder to the spot by the door where Todd Gench, her father’s bodyguard, stood, ready to deal with trouble, should anyone manage to get as far as the office.
Despite the news she had, she knew better than to say anything until her presence had been acknowledged; she might be able to get away with many things that wouldn’t be tolerated from anyone else in her father’s employ, but there were limits.
“Niki’s brother is here?” Valen Massio asked, finally acknowledging his daughter.
