16 “Jella, fresh jella! Red, white, green, black. Get your fresh jella here.” Cas felt his mouth water at the shout and quickly changed direction, so he could head for the stall offering the delicacy. He had only enjoyed jella on a few occasions, but that was enough to make him keen to see how much the grape-like fruit was selling for, especially since the white and red varieties were available alongside the more common green and black. “How much?” he asked when he reached the stall, his eyes on the four baskets of jella. He wasn’t sure if it was just that it had been so long since he last saw the fruit, let alone had any, but the jella on sale seemed twice the size of what he remembered, and far more succulent-looking.
