Kai's POV
He flinched, real hard, and pushed me back with so much force that I stumbled and nearly fell. His silver eyes blazed with something between shock and anger as he stared at me like I'd just committed the worst betrayal imaginable.
"What the f**k was that, Kai?" he growled, irritation bubbling at his throat, his alpha energy filling the room and making it hard to breathe.
I swallowed hard, hating myself even more than I already did. He's irritated by me. Disgusted. Maybe that's why other girls leave me for my father. Maybe it's because I'm not experienced enough, not good enough, not worth staying for. Maybe there's something fundamentally broken inside me that makes everyone choose someone else.
