Kai's POV
I don't know why I'm suddenly in so much pain but the feeling is overwhelming, consuming every part of me. f**k, all I want to do is kiss him more and lay in bed all day wrapped up in each other like we used to do.
But instead I force myself to pull away and go to my laptop, my hands shaking as I open it up. The painful realization that's forming in my mind might make me sick to my bones but I need to know the truth, need to confirm what my wolf is screaming at me.
I search for her location, pulling up the tracking software I installed weeks ago. I need to be sure she's safe, and I need to prove to myself that she's not the one causing this reaction in me. But when the map loads, she's not even in Bridgewood community anymore. f**k, my head pounds harder and my chest squeezes
