The way River stares at me right now, anyone would go crazy and totally insane from the intensity burning in those green eyes.
His cheerful expression falters instantly and I'm staring at someone who looks completely ruined, like I've destroyed every wall he's ever built around himself.
His jaw is tight, his hands clenched into fists at his sides, and there's a hunger in his gaze that makes my whole body tremble with anticipation and need.
