Damon's POV
She said she's going again.
Kai is blank and stoic like always but his punches are fierce, way too fierce for someone who's supposed to be teaching defense. Each blow he lands on Raven makes my jaw clench tighter, makes my wolf growl louder in my head demanding I intervene. But I force myself to stay on the sidelines because she needs to learn, she needs to understand how to protect herself when we're not around. Still, watching her get knocked down over and over again is killing me inside.
It makes me worried but I want to believe she'll figure it out, that she'll manage to dodge eventually. She's stronger than she thinks, tougher than anyone gives her credit for. She just needs to find that strength buried underneath all the fear and self-doubt.
