Kai's POV
We all slept peacefully last night, which is rare considering how chaotic our lives have been lately. I was lying on the left side of the bed with Raven curled up in the middle between me and Zane, and River sprawled out at the foot of the bed like some kind of guard dog. It should have felt crowded and uncomfortable but instead it felt right, like this is exactly where we're all supposed to be.
I couldn't fall asleep right away though. My mind was too busy replaying everything that happened today with Raven, the way she felt underneath me, the sounds she made, the way she looked at me with those beautiful eyes. So instead of sleeping, I pulled out my phone and texted Damon.
Me: You're missing out on a lot here. Raven was rescued from her demonic pack and she is incredible. Yo
