Lukas ran into the hospital and saw Eira lying on the bed, her face pale. There was a group of people surrounding the room.
Katie and Heath both had displeased expressions, looking at Lukas with contempt as if they wished he would disappear forever.
Alyssa and her parents were also there, giving Lukas strange looks as if he had done something terribly wrong, whispering and swearing quietly.
"How is Eira?" Lukas shouted, rushing to the bedside.
Smack!
A crisp slap resounded. Katie angrily slapped Lukas across the face, her face turning dark with rage and her gaze cold. She scolded. "How dare you show up here? Look at what you've done to Eira! If anything happens to my daughter, I will make you pay for it!"
Katie pushed and slapped Lukas repeatedly, venting all her grievances on him.
