The Healing step.....

Madison's pnt of view 

While I have enjoyed being spoiled by my family especially Daniel  and everyone that visited am a lot more 

eager to be out of this hospital.Can't wait to go home already. Speaking of Daniel he has been spending a 

lot of time with me. He even got a picnic basket and a movie the other day. After spending these few weeks 

with him I have come to realize he's not the self center jerk I thought he was when we first met. He's 

actually sweet, funny, humbly, caring and quiet. These where not the things I was expecting to see from 

him but every time I look at am shocked all over again. And to think he saved in the forest, he's not even so 

bored about me not remembering what happened as long as am alright he says every time. We have so 

much fun together when he's here, so much so that when it's time for him  to leave I get  sad. It's like I want 

him stay to  with me  all day and  not leave. Is there something wrong with me? I mean I do even know him 

well enough to be thinking him all day and night. This is crazy.... So what do I like him or something or is it 

just his company I enjoy. Well am not gonna figure that out today, am gonna give it time  and see how  

things go. Anyways doctor says am doing well and will be discharged tomorrow. Am so happy I got to see 

the twins, they came home for the week and didn't leave my sight the whole  week . It was like we were 

living in the hospital .  I wish they didn't have to leave but they did, I miss them already and it's only a week.

Daniel's pnt of view 

These that few weeks at the hospital with Maddie has been amazing, while I was terrified when I found her 

out there in the forest. I couldn't explain why I had this feeling of worry for her and anger to the jerk that 

hurt her. All I wanted to do in that moment was do the exact something he did to her if not for Addison that 

night I honestly  would have killed him.  Then getting to the hospital sitting in the waiting room to hear the 

news from the doctor was not helping, then after the surgery ends just when I thought I could now breath 

the doctor takes about her condition and  I flipped. I just couldn't stay in there to how hurt she is. I left 

everyone there for about 4 hours after I calmed down all I could think of was her smile and how happy and

relived I found  her so I went back to the hospital and sat by her bed side.  Waiting is not one of my best 

strength , even Addison learnt that over the weeks. Am so happy she's awake now and talking. We have so 

much fun together, she even said she enjoyed the picnic. Adriana has refused to let me be about the 

balloon we have every year, while it sure is coming when it's much needed I still don't want to stress 

Maddie out to much I mean she is still in  recovery. Maddie is helping Addison with the decoration and set 

up since she can't go back to work yet.  The balloon is in two months, Maddie is getting discharged today 

things are looking up now. It's been 3 days since Maddie was discharged and I haven't gone to see her. 

Work has been really busy after I took two days off to be with her at the hospital. I really miss her and can't 

wait to see her. 

Madison's pnt of view 

Finally am home, Addie picked me from the hospital while Adriana and the girls where home waiting for us. 

Got home to my friends surprising me with a welcome home party, It was fun and really thoughtful of them, 

While I am happy to see Addie and everyone am  a little disappointed he didn't come see me. I check my 

phone maybe he called or sent a message but nothing. It's been 3 days while am busy preparing for the 

balloon, I can't stop thinking about Daniel wondering if everything at the hospital was all in my head and 

wondering why he hasn't visited. So I decide since am out I will stop by his office, he's a workaholic 

after-all. I walk in the building to the reception and ask for direction to Daniel Colons's office. She looks 

 surprise for a second, I guess no one calls him by his full name here. She directs me to the elevators and 

says he's on the 22nd floor. I tell her thank you walk to the elevators. I get off on the 22nd floor and turn to  

the left walk down to find rooms full with staffs, so I turn around and go back to the elevator . While 

walking there am looking around to find someone who I can ask where Daniel's office is, when I run into a 

large chest without paying attention, drop my bag int the process. I immediately apologize to him and 

reach for my bag he helped  pick up. I look up to see his face and feel a feeling  of familiarity to the man in 

front of me but I don't remember meeting him ever. Are you alright he asked with concern in his eyes. I 

smile and say thanks to you. Then we get into small talk and I forget why I was there in the first place until 

Daniel walks out of his office and is about to get in the elevator when he heard my voice. He turned around 

looking for where the sound of my voice is coming from, when spotted me he walks right over with a smile 

on his face and a surprised expression. He says hello to Leo and says I see you two have met. Leo replies 

then says I will take my leave now, it was nice to meet Madison. He nods at Daniel and walks away. 

Daniel then faces me with a shocked expression to see me here, then ask how long have you been here?

I reply with a smile about an hour, I got lost , ran into Leo and got into a conversation with him and forgot 

why I was here. Why are you here he ask? So you can  have lunch with me I tell him. He looks at me and 

says I was just going home. We can have delivered if that's okay with you? I smile and yes let's do that.

Third party's point of view 

Madison and Daniel go to Daniel's condo, at the door he opens it and invites her in and he helps her take 

off  her coat then his and hangs them in the closet by the en chance. Daniel ordered their meal before they 

left the office, a few minutes later it's delivered. Before then she looks around, they talk and laugh. He 

offers orange juice as they settle to eat. Before he sits down, he plays a movie. They eat as they watch the 

movie. Hours went by and neither one of them was really to call it a day till Maddie's phone rings. It's a call

from Addie checking on her when she didn't hear from her all day. Madison replies saying am sorry I 

should  have called you I just got so carried away I didn't realize how late it got. So are you heading home?

says Maddie. Addie replies saying no not yet, actually am gonna be working late tonight. I may stay the 

night at Adriana's to finish work. You should come over so can hang out like old times. Madison thinks 

about her sister's offer and thinks about how much fun she's having with Daniel, then says no that's OK 

you girls have fun and don't work too hard. I'll see you tomorrow for lunch tell Adriana too OK?

After spending the rest of my day with Daniel, he takes me home and walks me to me door. Then hugs

me  goodnight, turns to walk away but midway and calls my name  right when am  about to walk in. Runs

back to me caresses my cheek but  then kisses my forehead, my eyes, my nose , my cheeks then finally my 

lips and whisper I have wanted to do this all afternoon. After the kiss ended we rested our forehead on 

each other, that's when I said what took you so long. He just laughs and looks at me , then says I don't 

know, but I do know that I want to do it again. After one last kiss we say night, then I walk in my apartment

while he goes home. Immediately he made it home he texted me then called , we talked for while then 

called it a night.
