Callistana did it. She jumped out from the moving carriage without fear and hesitation, only eyes closed. She's free.
As her body hit the ground, she realized that all this time, she has been counting wrong. Her estimation was wrong.
Her body hit stones, hurting her body so bad. She even felt that her head was hit too, and was now bleeding.
And she realized, too, that she did not fall on a flat ground as her body rolled down the side of the hill. She was badly hurt while rolling down, hitting a lot of obstacles. She only stopped rolling down when a huge stone blocked her body but due to the strong impact against it, her frail body didn't take it well. Callistana lost consciousness.
For a fleeting time while in an unconscious state, Callistana felt like she was floating in the air.
